Cheers for the Crowded House DVD matey. Just been reliving a few old moments watching some of those videos...I really want that mini camper from the "Weather with you" vid!

Shall be searching out a copy of quick-step and side-kick for you in the loft on saturday (assuming of course my archaeological gear is back from the dry cleaners)

    Massively appreciate it matey!

No worries mate - enjoy all that antipodean grooviness!
Might have to watch the 'Farewell to the World' concert this weekend. It's only a gig, but when they go into 'Don't Dream It's Over' I just burst into tears!

    Manly tears, obviously.

Aye I can well understand that.

I was fortunate enough to meet 'em all. Seymour, Hester, Hart, AND the two Finn brothers - and got my T-shirt signed by 'em all (Tim Finn is a miserable old c*nt though - tried to say he was the band's manager and nowt to do with 'em but I'd followed Split Enz for donkey's years and knew exactly who he was!)

A great band. For some reason though I just cannot get into Neil Finn's solo stuff.

You met them? How cool is that?
    Where?

I'm the same with the solo stuff. The one I've got (One -Nil, I think?) just gathers dust these days.

Saw his show in London on that tour though. He was playing with Wendy & Lisa (who used to play with Prince), and when they got to 'Weather with You', asked if there was anyone in the audience who could play Tim Finn's guitar part.

Got some bloke up on stage and away they went. Made his night I suspect.
Though I believe he does that quite a lot.

Don't worry about looking too hard for QSASK - I've got a best of. It's just one of those albums I meant to get at the time and never did.

Landscape's 'From The Tea Rooms of Mars to the Hell Holes of Uranus' was another one like that. Searched for years, finally found it on vinyl in a second hand shop - the CD got re-released two weeks later!

Christ almighty - Landscape! Now there's a group I've not heard of in ages. I have that Vinyl...bought it just for European Man and Einstein a Go Go!

Met Crowded House when they played Oxford, but also met Tim & Neil Finn when they did a series of smaller gigs including an absolute killer in a pub up in Birmingham...Couldn't ask to meet a more decent bunch of blokes (though Paul Hester was a bit worryingly touchy-feely ;)

And I've done my pilgrimage to Te Awamutu too!

Ack whenever I hear that place name I can't get "Mean to me" out of MY head so there you go!

Funny little town, very "blink and you'd miss it" but well worth it just to visit that museum and see the stuff they've got there...
