I'm very much enjoying Beyond, despite some awkward moments. I'm still of the mind that the tech is ok for a game like that but after another go of Ninja Gaiden I've decided it's still not great at fast action. My internet is no slouch either. I'm not going to complain though as I'm sure I'll finish Beyond for free before the beta is up |

Registered 9 years agoi just can't see this taking off well as Sony presumably hope it will. Is there a market for this as the offer stands at the minute?. I just think all the pricing models I've heard mentioned seem way off. It's not for me that's for sure once I have to pay for the service. -

Play PS3 games on your PS4 or certain Bravia TVs. Shame you have to pay for the service now, mind. -

Registered 10 years agoWe upgraded to Sky Fibre last week so I thought I'd give this a go - the connection test said it was good to go, so I've rented Bodycount for 2 days (lots of people hate it, I thought it was great fun).
Definitely a bit sluggish, especially when there's heavy action going on, but the service is still impressive none the less. Might be a few years off where Sony need it to be, but once it gets there this could be a genuinely interesting service.
Keeping an eye on this for sure.... -
Are games being added to the library on a frequent basis? -

Registered 11 years agoI've pining to play Shadow of the Colossus again, and it just struck me that I could do this using my PS Now 7 day trial, in theory.
I'm on around an 18.5Mbps connection, 1Mbps upload, so I should be OK connection speed-wise.
However, I'm not even sure if SotC is even available as a PS Now game in the UK. The US PS Now site lists it, but playstation.com/en-gb only lists a handful of the 180 available games, as far as I can see.
Why is finding any solid information on this so difficult? Finding things on PSN in general is always troublesome. I nearly gave up trying to find the FFXV Platinum Demo the other day, until I searched "Platinum" instead of "Final Fantasy". Very poor, especially for a huge technology company.

Registered 13 years agoStreaming services in general are pretty stingy with information. I think the idea is that you have to sign up for the free trial to see the library, and then you're that one step closer to subscribing. -

If you go to PSNow you can view the entire catalog without having to sign up to the service. It is under one of the options. -

Registered 4 years agoNow including support for downloading the actual game for local/offline play. Supposedly PS2/PS4 titles only at the moment (not unless they've cracked PS3 emulation on PS4), but it's dropping in the next few days so we'll find out then. -

Registered 18 years agoKind of surprised not to have seen more chat on here recently, given that some decent games have finally hit it, along with a decent price cut.
Been playing God of War on my PC (using the free trial so far), actually compares favourably with remote play (on a non-Pro PS4 so limited to 720p).
Think I'll probably get a year's subscription, as I was close to picking up God of War anyway and there are a few other games on there I'd like to give a go. CDKeys are doing it for £40.
Streaming and not having to install stuff is a great way of trying out lots of games if nothing else.
Will be interesting to see what else hits the platform in the next few months. This will make it easier to stick to PC as my main platform (with in-home streaming to the TV if I fancy playing there) in future. -

Registered 18 years agoTbh it's not a bad way to get people to buy older games.
No way I'll have finished God of War by the time it expires but I'll have done enough to not want to stop playing! -
Im interested in PlayStation Now, but I don't want to stream any of the games. I see that some of the games are marked as "downloadable", are these basically rented digital copies of the main game? Is this worth it? -

Registered 16 years agoAll PS4 and PS2 titles are downloadable. It;s exactly the same as having a digital game on your HDD. -
What's the 3 month limit that Fixxxer mentioned, do all the games cycle off it after 3 months? Are any of the games on there for a long time/permanently, if so which ones? The Uncharted series? -

Registered 16 years agoIt's specifically for God of War, Infamous: Second Son, Uncharted 4 and GTAV. When they cycle out other new (to the service) high profile titles will cycle in.
Pretty sure you'll see all the relevant info if you just look at the PSNow website or app on console. -

Registered 4 years agoI'm pretty tempted by this,just skimmed the huge game list and saw at least seven games I fancy playing on there. Control has just been added as well and I'm keen to play that again and £8.99 seems like a bargain with over 700 games available. -

Registered 5 years agoCompare games against the US one. As per usual it feels like we're being shafted somewhat. I had no problems from the UK through one of these in January:

Was considering getting a year sometime soon.
Added bonus (if you don't have PS+), you can play online through it. If I wasn't feeling a bit locked into plus I'd probably just do this now tbh.

Registered 16 years agoGoing to try it on PC. Tried it on PS4 but all Sony hardware seem to have poor wifi speed. Not sure if it the actual hardware or Sony servers so will be an interesting experiment. Free trial anyway so going to play some Uncharted Lost Legacy before it goes off service. -
@Stuz359
Let me know what you think. I didn't realise you could get it on pc now. -

Registered 16 years agoHaving tried, it is quite impressive on PC. Image quality is not the best, think we are looking at 720p and it sort of looks like a blur filter has been added. Still the games still look good. Latency on PC was pretty good, can't say I noticed it much. Just the one thing which is game breaking, If you don't have a Dualshock 4, you can't play games. For example, tried playing through Uncharted Last Legacy and at one point to progress you had to open the map, which is opened by the touchpad. As far as I am aware, there is no way to map the function onto another pad/keyboard. So if you want to invest, you need a Dualshock 4 which is something to consider looking at the price point. -
@Stuz359
I've got a dualshock 4. Im disappointed GT5 or 6 isn't available.
