    Hello guys,

I’ve been passively following your forums for a while now but did not have something worthwhile to contribute.

I thought I’ll share this app I developed for Android smart phones.

What it does is it lets you Download PSN updates, Game updates and Game Add-ons using your smart phone or computer!

When set up, the app acts as a proxy server capturing update links from your PlayStation 4, if the update is available locally on your phone it will serve it to your playstation, otherwise will prevent it from downloading the update using your broadband connection.

Why is this useful you ask? It is useful for those on limited Internet connections with low download-thresholds. With this app, you can download the update or game add-on on another location or device and transfer the update to your phone for it to be served to your playstation.

You can find the app on the Google Play store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arabianlucifer.ps4updater or search for "Playstation 4 Updater"

If you find this app useful, please share it to your friends and give me your feedback here!

Might be, but you won't have to download these GBs using your home broadband connection so its worth it. Ofcourse, you can delete the files when you're done

But where are you going to download it?

Are you going to hand around in costa for hours on end, and get it on free wifi? Assuming they don't throttle you/boot you off for abusing the system.

To be fair, I sometimes get a better download speed on my 4G phone than at home!

I guess some might find this useful but it seems pretty niche to me. Good luck I guess.

@PenguinJim Yes, they do, but it's usually a case of two options; one for relatively low use capped at 10GB per month, or uncapped "unlimited" (fair use terms apply). Some ISP's have offered interim levels, but I think they've mostly realised these aren't necessary; it tends to be you're either an e-mailer/browser, or a mass downloader.
