Alright. I have two of these -

What would be a good recipe for em? I'm not fussed whether it's fried, roasted, baked, grilled, whatever - but I'd like them savoury as possible, maybe with some fried potatoes? Or fried eggs maybe?

How would you cook them, and with what?

Fry them in liberal dollops of goose fat.

As long as there's a healthy amount of English mustard on the plate come serving time I'm sure they will be delightful.

Not thought of steamed, nice one. I'll have a look

@Ironlungs - cheers. What else would you have with them?

A few slices of bread smothered in mustard to make a posh bacon sarnie. Masterchef, I am not I'm afraid :(

Me neither, hence my post :)

I'm thinking of frying them, maybe with some fried potatoes and maybe a few eggs or something now

Make a nice bbq glaze and grill the fuckers. Chinese bbq glaze would be nice, give a bit of a char sui effect.

I was going to suggest with ice cream and chocolate sauce, but then saw you wanted savoury.

I'd go Asian, like BinaryBob. Get some crappy sauce out of a jar, buy some soy sauce and vegetables, stir fry them, and serve with rice.

You should learn to cook a few things, women on hot dates will love it (maybe).

Yeah, that sounds like a good one. I'm not that bad a cook, it's just that I couldnt decide what to do with bacon chops. I'm putting it down to a hangover

I'd go with pan fried Savoy Cabbage with garlic and black pepper.
    Some sort of brandy/cream sauce.
New potatoes knocked about in the pan.

    Finish the brandy for dessert.

    @Trafford

Funnily enough, I was thinking of making a whisky peppercorn sauce

Cabbage is a good shout. Thinking sauerkraut as well now

    Might fry the tatoes though

And I'll drink half the whisky before even starting to make it a more fun affair.

I like Aldi Gammon with a vegetable rice that is really simple.

Just a one pot stock reduction, start with olive oil, peppers, onions, mushrooms and any mixed herbs you have.

Add rice and then chicken or vegetable stock, peas and sweetcorn and then reduce till the stock is absorbed.

    Bit like a Risotto.

George Formby those phuqqas and add two fried eggs, two freshly-baked baps and plenty of Daddy's brown sauce.

    Mushrooms to taste...

    Marmalade? That's a new one.

Definitely thinking of frying with a spicy sauce though, and some randomness on the side.

I hate marmalade!  I had some boring old chops and needed to spruce them up and found that online, I was most impressed.
I think you only need a teaspoon first off, then add to taste. And plenty of pepper as the bacon is salty already.
