Registered 12 years agoThis is a really a strange thread. An interesting thought I suppose... but as Kalel said - black people as individuals - tend to like different things and people I imagine. -

His name is Michael Winslow, but you obviously wouldn't know that because he's black. You sicken me.
the guy who made the funny noises. -
I've never understood the term 'African American' surely it's massively offensive as it implies that black Americans are only worthy of being half American, while white's are simply 'American' it also implies that they are all African purely based on the colour of their skin when they could be from the Caribbean which is far closer to the U.S.. -

@Dirtbox true, but that argument can be made of every race from every country if your willing to go back far enough. I just don't see how actively differentiating people purely based on skin colour is somehow less offensive than referring to them as 'black' if a certain situation arises that merits it.
Not a big deal, just never understood it.

@localnotail maybe, im not claiming to have any kind of insight into it but the majority of the time that I hear the phrase it's being used by white politicians or news readers.
I also found while I was out there that every minority is kept as a minority i.e 'the African American community' 'the Latino community' etc. -

Do any men like women actors?
Trick question: No-one likes women actors -
I's not really something considered. Good actors are appreciated regardless of the colour of their skin. I've never heard a black British person say "He's alright for a white actor". No idea about black Americans, they're a bit weird.
