A good sign that they won't head down the Sin City path of least difference.

    Now joseph gilgun as cassidy.

Preacher is my favorite comic series and i dont have high hopes for the show. Think it will be far to watered down.
Eww! That the guy from Emmerdale?

Dominic Cooper is playing Jesse. Not sure about that, I've only seen him as Tony Stark's Dad, dunno if he's up to being a rough and tumble cowboy type.

Hmm, not sure. This stands no chance on any network other than HBO (at a stretch) anyway imo

I'm a massive fan of Preacher, but like others I can't see how it can be adapted for the screen without losing what made it great in the first place. It was offensive to just about everyone.

It's not available in my country. Plus side: apparently I have my own country now?

    Another look here:

Don't think they've cast the right actor to play Custer.

This was my favorite comic, what, 20 years ago now? So I'm fucoed if I can remember anything about it other than thinking it was brilliant.

I was concerned that I might have grown out of it. So I re-read it recently, and can happily confirm that it's still glorious.

Also, though it's of course way too early to judge, recent viewings of Banshee have made me wonder whether Cinemax (or Starz) might have been a better home for this than AMC. Oh well.

Herr Starr looks ridiculous (which is fitting, I guess).

Herr Starr was in it? Which character?

I thought he was that guy throwing the bottle in the airplane.

(but maybe the memory is getting a bit fuzzy)

Huh, weird. I knew Cassidy was at the end, but honestly did not see that the guy on the plane was the same.

Maybe I just really, really wanted Herr Starr to be in it. :)

Also, Cassidy isn't wearing his shades for some reason. He should do that.

Yeah, the glasses thing does seem a rather major thing (not quite as bad as Stalllone Dredd but...)
I still wonder how much of the feel they will manage to capture with this...

Strange that they didn't show his voice being used, but it looks lovely.

It's hard to tell just from a trailer. But it seemed pretty serious business, not much humour. And there wasn't any supernatural stuff either.

Maybe they're just going to ease people in before they introduce Arseface.

That's the big reveal, son! Remember the terminator genityls trailer!

Also, wrt the sunglasses, it's harder to engage with the character and shoot scenes with them on. I'm sure he will wear them, but not all the time.

No supernatural stuff at all was showcased. Which has me excited for this for the first time ever. Wouldn't it be great if they completely shipped that?

I know what you're instinctively thinking now, BUT THAT'S THE WHOLE PLOT DONE AWAY WITH!

Thing is that Custer was never cooler than when he didn't use the voice. The vampire thing was redundant any way. Nut cases can still hole up with an inbread Kid etc.

We won't get saint of killers but I'm OK with that.

I really hope they have the balls to drop all the supernatural stuff.

No supernatural stuff? So, (serious question) no quest to kill God?

Honestly I couldn't imagine the series without any supernatural stuff at all. It seems pretty integral to me. And really, *really* cool in the case of SoK, and a lot of the Word of God stuff.
