Anyone else been watching this? For me this has been the best TV I've seen in ages, possibly years. Consistently brilliant writing, acting, jokes, twists..... oh the twists! This week's really got me. Seems like this little gem, with it's rich pedigree (Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton of League of Gentlemen and Psychoville fame) and not too shabby time slot, is slipping people by, which would be a real shame. Perhaps because they're all self contained stories people can't get into it as much? |

Registered 11 years agoReally enjoyed the silent movie one with the burglars. Had this week's on in the background there but really wasn't paying any attention to it whatsoever. -

A whiff of Tales Of The Unexpected too.
That's a good thing. -

Registered 12 years agoIt's almost the same type of humour as the league of gentlemen. They haven't lost it! -

Registered 16 years agoHaven't seen last nights yet, but completely agree about the first 2. Just superb.
The second episode especially - I completely lost it when the giant dog walked in. Haven't laughed that much in ages. -

Almost the same characters for me, Pemberton in Herr Lip type role in the first one. And Barry Baggs in the second.

Registered 16 years ago...which is not a bad thing.
Gentlemen was written as two writing partnerships working independently, so hardly surprising when one of those getting together again have similarities. Especially as they were writer/performers in both. -

Registered 15 years agoWell no, more of the same is great. Just has a familiarity to it, like I'd seen all the jokes before. Reece and Steve in the first seemed to mirror the petty arguments Stella & Charlie had in TLOG. -

Registered 13 years agoThe first two were really good, but (and I hate people who say this, so I hate myself for saying it too) I could see the twists in last night's episode coming from a mile away. -
