I thought Tusk was great, not really a horror movie though (despite it being not very nice...).

I enjoyed The Borderlands too - didn't outstay its welcome and delivered a good sense of dread, though not overly scary.

Borderlands didn't do it for me - i liked the acting but the buildup was too long with bugger all happening and the payoff wasn't worth the wait.

    https://www.shudder.com/

Has this been mentioned? A bit like Netflix apparently, don't know anymore details yet! Just a (timely) heads-up.

7 day free trial and then £5 a month or £50 a year.

Omg! Amazing idea. I loathe buying horror DVDs as they can be fairly niche and hence expensive one-off purchases, but a streaming service would hit the spot. Will give it a go and report back.

    Keep the recommendations coming forumites.

I want to have a horror binge at the end of the month, have there been any reasonably decent zombie films in the last few years? The whole sub-genre seems to have descended into new sub basements pumped full of raw sewage. Not mutants, or 100M sprint champion 'infected', is it so hard to have the traditional slow, shuffling reanimated corpse?

Recommendations of anything interesting are welcome though.

I watched "The Greasy Strangler" last night.

I was horrified, but for the totally wrong reasons!!

I can't say I've seen a decent zombie movie for a long time. The ones churned our recently have been far too "B Movie" for my liking.

I'm not always a snob when it comes to movie aesthetics, but if your Zombies just look like some bloke with bits of streaky bacon dangling off his arms, I find it a bit hard to invest myself in the rest of the film!

Too many ghosty-ouija-board type movie coming out lately. Want a good monster movie.

Although I've heard "The Monster" is pretty good, so will catch that when it hits the Internet.

A lot of people loved You're Next and It follows, I just don't get it. Both made me quite angry and bored. A weird combo of emotions.

There's a load of low budget indie horrors popping up on Amazon Prime at the moment. Most appear to be unwatchable garbage made by directors and actors not good enough for porn but there are some interesting nuggets. 'Muck' is about the best I've seen amongst them so far.

Under The Shadow was pretty good. Not hugely original (apart from the setting) but well made and really well acted.

I liked You're Next It was good fun. I felt It Follows was a great idea executed poorly.

    No it wasn't.

I hope that clears things up.

It Follows is a film that some people think is great and others don't.

This is similar to other films that some people think are great and others don't. Sometimes someone will think a film is merely good, whilst another thinks the film is not good. It Follows is a film where a person may also think it is worth watching and another person does not.

    It Follows is a film.

    Thanks for your time.

    It is great though.

Taling of horror films I started to watch Gallows the other day. Or is it The Gallows? I don't know.

That is a film that I do not think is good. In fact I didn't even finish watching it. They should have called it Idiots in the Dark. Then at least I would have understood what I was about to watch.

A bunch of idiots, in the dark.

Syfy. Get ready for some sleepless nights though. Geena Davis's face will haunt you.

Shite. Don't get syfy. Quite fancy it as well. Geena Davis ' face generally gives me sleepless nights anyway. Shes a bit Andi McDowell by way of David Lynch.
