Sorry this is too late for those of you that missed Natural World tonight, but I thought this was really interesting (and if you want to watch it, maybe it'll pop up on a certain UK torrents site ).Basically there are these pools of water in the jungle in Mexico's Yucatan region that turned out to be linked by a network of underwater tunnels. These guys go diving through the tunnels in an attempt to chart the network. The whole experience looked very exciting, but the best bit was when they came across a massive underwater cave. It seemed in the end that there were underwater rivers which flowed out to sea which basically allowed the forest to exist. Apparently the whole jungle owes these rivers its existence. Amazing stuff |
Wicked program about cave-diving in Mexico
