There is (or least was, I assume that has not changed)and can I ask why ? Very obviously you do not need to play.
I'm far from a mp type of player and it is definitely shoehorned in to a lot of games but I thought it was rather good in the original game. -

Registered 9 years agoI don't think there's any multiplayer for TLOU2 - I thought they were potentially making a full, separate game around it? -

It is arriving separately I think, at least post release but I thought it was part of the "package"
Actually just looking, I think you are correct. Oh well, no big issue. -

I just can't help but feel that it diverts resources from games (even with a separate team working on it) that would benefit from a focus on a single player game.
Also, I think that crowbaring multiplayer shite into something that is fundamentally a single player narrative is one of the many reason that AAA games have slowly but surely mostly become uniform, grey, bland crap that tries to appeal to every person in the whole world all the time and in the end as a result all look and sound alike. But thats another thread, I suppose. -

Registered 11 years agoI'm surprised how vividly I remember almost all of this, given I only played it once and that was seven years ago.
It's also reminded me how well-paced it is, which means it's very easy for me to play for a couple of hours or more at a time; if pacing's bad, it stops me wanting to play a game at all (looking at you FFVIIR). Also kind of surprising in a sense, given I think all the Uncharted games are quite poorly paced (I haven't gotten around to Lost Legacy yet - that's next on the list)
I just got through Bill's town and the ambush, and I'm finding my memory of this bit is a little hazy as I can't quite remember what happens next - I'm thinking it's running into Henry and Sam, but I'm not 100%. Also, the bloater in the school gym was easier than I seem to remember it being - pretty much two molotovs and down it went. -

Registered 14 years agoI think that hit me harder than the prologue for some reason. Maybe as I was a bit more invested in the characters by then. -

Registered 11 years agoI think a large part of it is how sudden it is. They don't draw anything out, they just fucking hit you with it, then cut to black. Proper gut punch, and it's very well done, but the prologue still fucks me up now -

Registered 11 years agoYeah I'm going to have to go through this again. I was talking to a mate about it that's only played a bit, and it reminded me of some of the character scenes. Jesus, it hits you every time. -

I think now would be the best time to do Left Behind. Fits in perfectly. -

Registered 11 years agoLeft Behind actually fits in really nicely. I suppose the only slightly jarring thing is the credits roll when you finish (as I'll be going straight back into the main game). Nice music though, sounds vaguely Akira Yamaoka-esque. -

Registered 11 years agoAnd done. Right on 16 hours, which I remember my original playthrough being, too
Ending is still perfect, and I'm really excited for Part II now. -

Registered 4 years agoI kind of hated the ending at first but I love how it ends now. I might do the dlc before 2 comes out. I completed the main game a couple of months ago but didn't touch the dlc. -

Registered 11 years agoI was one of those people that thought it never needed a sequel and it was perfect as-is, but honestly, I'm really looking forward to see how they lead off from that lie in Part II.
One thing that always kind of irritated me, and still does a bit, is Marlene saying Ellie would want to make that sacrifice, and that Joel knows it. If that's true, why lie to her? Why not give her the opportunity to make that choice for herself, instead of just murdering her in her sleep.
Anyway, I've started Lost Legacy now, feels like a good time to knock that one off the backlog. -
Left behind was really good. As was all of TLoU.
The sequel is pretty much the only game that makes regret selling my PS4 when I went Gamepass after getting the One X.
