Nah. I just got back from it and its rubbish.
Probably not the shitshow I was expecting but still crap.
Why does Ben Affleck look so fucking fat and lethargic throughout the film? Was he wearing that waistcoat just to hide his belly? I'm 40 and 5 foot 7 and I would have made a more capable Batman than that slob.

All set for a very disappointing $95 million US domestic opening.

Bare in mind I'm one of the six people on the planet that genuinely enjoyed BvS, and I like MoS even more, this was a whopping disappointment.
    What a giganto fuck up.
Massively rushed, AWFUL villain, average action sequences, average special effects, forgettable score, Whedon's fucking cheesy writing stinking up the joint. Bleeugh!!
The cast are good, which bodes well for future stand alone movies (If they happen), and there was one memorable action scene Clark/Supes giving the team a kicking when he first comes back.
    That's about it.

Is it obvious which scenes are the Wheedon reshoots and which are Snyder's original movie?

I think the fact that it isn't six hours long was Whedons biggest influence

Just read the Screen rant article, some of it might be guesswork but most of it appears to be accurate.
How anyone thought Whedon would be a good replacement after Age of Ultron I'll never know. The fucking 'Brunch'... joke? (Was it a joke?) Was so shit I almost cringed my entire face off.
I genuinely wish they'd have just released Snyder's version of the movie, it's not like this mess has received much better reviews, or will go on to do a billion at the box office.

Do laugh at the press saying it's struggling with $100m after one full day out.

I think that's the prediction for the entire weekend. It's the lowest DCEU film (don't know if that's really true) to date. They were hoping for $120 million. Lowest superhero film this year. Opening weekend is a big deal as that's where the studio takes the highest chunk of its profits. Unless you're Disney.

Depends on what you believe. Saying $600 million just be break even doesn't seem that far fetched, if you consider marketing costs. Theses kind of numbers are stupid levels of stupid.

I'd rather watch Batman and Robin again, I've seen several reviews saying they thought that was the better film.

So if this is still a shitshow after the reshoots, imagine what we would have got without................

Maybe aquaman and the flash have cats with the same name that would have brought them together at the last moment of something.

For the studio themselves to get $600m in the bank, the box office would have be around $1bn.

Credits are rolling. I honestly think BvS is a better film.

The leak a few weeks ago on Reddit (I think, may have been another site?)... that was genuine. That’s the film, scene for scene.
It moves too fast cutting from point to point and never lingering on details long enough, it’s badly acted from everyone and the CG is genuinely awful (the obvious green screen everywhere, the motherbox terraforming videogame landscape effect and Henry Cavill’s lip). Batman is no longer a badass fighting machine, Steppenwolf is garbage, they really haven’t got Superman right at all (can’t remember where I read that but fuck no) and the final act is a series of one liners from every member of the team. None of it feels epic, it’s all just rushed and cheap feeling because it looks so bad.

The post credit scene is really the only interesting bit and at this point I couldn’t care less.

I’m sure Gearskin is gonna love it and it’ll make loads of money.
But who knows, in a world where EA have removed MTX from Star Wars Maybe DC will just stop making films?

If I could hazard a guess, it seems to be a too many cooks approach as opposed to a singular decision driven by a Feige like figure who has a clear roadmap of how the films interlink and finding directors who compliment those projects and buy into the vision.

No surprise that the story is shit, judging from all the trailers, there isn't one. Not one ounce of story revealed, one could have argued this was to avoid spoilers, turns out there's fuck to spoil as supermans return has been the universes worst kept secret.
