Rick and Morty briefly appears on a screen in the background of Flash's lair, thus deepening the philosophical depth of the entire DC movie universe by a factor of two -

Registered 16 years agoI quite like that these DC Universe films haven't felt the need to be faithful to the comics in any way. They've done their own thing, even when it might've been stuff where following the comics to an extent would've been a stronger choice.
However, that means any direct comic references feel really strange. In a version of the DC Universe where they go to great lengths to be new, different and surprising (as good or bad as people might feel that is), suddenly going back and saying "look at this, it's like the comics!" feels out of place to me. I don't like it. Just be yourself, DCEU

Registered 17 years agoApparently the Cyborg origin was very dark. HE WAS FULL OF HATRED FOR HIS FATHER FOR WHAT HE DID TO HIM!!!!
Also, that bit where TRhe Flash is using the speed force on Superman, someone pointed out that in the trailer it was night time. It's not in the flm from what I recall. It was a dull afternoon. Or something. -

Registered 16 years agoThere's loads of that. RLM pointed out that with it not being set exclusively in the dark anymore, the costumes all now look even more ridiculous. -

Registered 14 years agoI wonder how much of that is them trying to react to people making fun of them always being dark and broody all the time. -

You'd think someone would have just put him on a treadmill and actually made him run, rather than the weird running-on-the-spot motion he seems to do. It looks like a cheap tv show effect.

Going by their inability to CGI out a moustache, it's probably best they didn't do that.

Also I think the film did a great job of making Batman, who apparently is one of the most capable and dangerous people in the DC universe, look about as effective as wet toilet paper.

Registered 17 years agoI must though the whole film was not only utter garbage but it just doesn't 'sit well' with MoS and BvS.
Looks as though DC/WB are carrying on as normal. No changes to the current film plans at any rate. People are talking about having Flashpoint reboot the DCEU, but why make it if nobody is going to see it? -

The moustache thing was a lack of time. Maybe the Flash running was a really late edition too.

Yeah, Batman was shit. After making him look like a badass in the warehouse sequence at the end of BvS, I guess he took one too many shots to the head and had a stroke between films. -

Registered 10 years agoA different studio did the moustache and was given very little time. It would actually have been cheaper and looked better if they had added it in to the remaining MI scenes and WB showed universal this and offered to pay for it. -

Registered 8 years agoI'm guessing they ran out of time with the CGI for Cyborg too and got the memo about him not being a floating head quite late in production then. -

1 Bearded superman would look awesome
2 The look would fit in with his "revival" arc.
3 It would take care of the "cant shave your 'stache cause its in your contract" problem.
If he couldnt grow one, just have an artificial one pasted to his face. It would look better than this stupid CGI job. -

Registered 16 years agoSeems like the easiest thing to do would have been just to have the grave empty and them spend a few scenes looking for him. Hey presto, legit beard growth and them not looking like ghoulish grave robbers.
Y'know... like the comics -

Registered 17 years agoHe didn't exactly deteriorate either.
His revival makes no sense anyway, considering the final shot in BvS. Wasn't that to indicate he was powering back up? -
Seeing as his hair doesn't get singed when flying through fire/explosions it's safe to say his hair is indestructible like the rest of him...
Introducing a beard would then automatically require kryptonite razors sent along with him in the pod to explain his regular look...
