Mona Lisa is his best film. Well worth a watch.
Surely you mean The Long Good Friday?
Forgot about that film, yeah, it's alright as well.
24/7 also excellent for a later career one.

    RIP.

Its not as bad as his accent in that one where he plays the racist cop who gets a heart transplant from a black guy (with hilarious results).

    RIP.

Great actor, with some great performances in notable films already mentioned in this thread. The good films he was in thankfully overshadow SMB and those awful BT adverts.

Hahahaha I haven't heard of that. Amazing.

"An out of shape cop is given another chance when he receives the heart of a recently deceased lawyer. The lawyer haunts the cop, and helps him at the same time."

    :D

Theres a bit [SPOILER] where Bob is coming around after the heart transplant and his colleagues put a massive black dildo between his legs, so he thinks hes had a dick transplant.

My memory is hazy, but I think he probably starts eating fried chicken and watermelon at some point..

Before and after effects were added in Roger Rabbit. Must be hard acting against nothing but a blue screen.

It was the bit where he was pretending to be falling that really made it impressive for me. And all the rolling around. That's some great physical acting.

I'm quite saddened by my FB which would indicate he was almost entirely known only for Roger Rabbit.

He is the only good thing in that horrific shitball of a film.

    RIP Bob.

Best film of Hoskins was The Long Good Friday

    Followed by Roger Rabbit

Sad news, he was one of Britains best.

My top 3 Bob Hoskins films looks like:

    1. Mona Lisa
    2. Who Framed Roger Rabbit
    3. The Long Good Friday

As great an actor he was, reality is, after checking IMDb, I really haven’t seen many of his films.

The BT adverts were good as well

"It's good to talk!" He was great.

What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?
Orf to the manor in the sky.
