What I've learned so far (I have interviews with Brian Duhn and other Sony staff working with From on the game tomorrow):
He hasn't been online much (because he is still at E3) so he doesn't know specific info that was revealed already (like the city name).
1) There are no shields. From wanted to focus more on an offensive game than a defensive game. Most combat will involve a gun in one hand and a Scythe type weapon in the other.
2) The sound effects are nearly if not identical to a Souls series. Soul acquisition sound, foot steps, etc.
3) Either Estus has been replaced or the person playing healed with something that was very similar looking to Humanity (we couldn't see items or health or inventory in the demo)
4) The game takes place in Yarnim (I'm guessing on the spelling). The city is affected by a plague that is rapidly spreading throughout its population. Some are more effected than others. You are fighting to save those who are left and yourself.
5) items on corpses just like other souls games.
6) the player fought a boss with no fog gate. I do not know for sure if there are none, but none were seen and a boss was fought (the demo stopped mid fight :/)

You have last gen console, you want to play Bloodborne and Witcher, PS4 tempts. Not a long stretch really. You buy other console, you don't get Bloodborne. -
@Widge Yeah, I get that, but I was wondering if those are the only games that interest him enough at all to buy any new hardware, meaning he's frustrated with gaming in general. That's what I meant with The Witcher being a strange choice.

Registered 13 years agoSounds brilliant, though they've barely revealed anything itsounds like the lore, world and combat are a mix-up of Souls with some interesting changes to freshen it up. There will likely be a Dark 3 so I'm hyped for this one to be a bit different. -

My current pc is unable to run most games, buying a new one that is capable of running the game on parity with the PS4 would costs me quite a lot.
Instead i can go and buy a ps4 that would allow me to play The Witcher 3 and a exclusive i really want to play. -

Wut? How would that be possible given these two games must have been in production at the same time, I thought Bloodborne was the A team? -

Safe to say the graphics will get dialled back from what little has been already seen going by comments re: framerate. From seem to still be some way from perfecting their engine.
