Just by reading everyones reactions to this I want to go and buy off the ps store asap but concerned about the co-op. How successful (and stable) does it work if anyone has had much experience with it so far please?

Going digital - currently psn is showing the game twice. Presume that should not be a problem?
Is there a difference between the two versions? Ratings aside, that is.

Edit: I'll just assume that the version with the higher number of ratings is the 'correct' one, if there is a difference.
I bought the one that wasn't dated. Came through fine.

Is it kind of cheating using shift codes, as in will I get really OP gear and looting will feel pointless or will the game still be fun?

What are Shift keys? Free gear? Is it predetermined or random weapons?

    Thanks for posting them.

Type in the code and you get a key that unlocks the chest in that transport station thingy in Sanctuary.

It generally pops out a purple or orange item scaled to your current level.

Interesting - may have to use a couple, perhaps limiting myself to ensure the fun doesn't get sucked away.

@aros - It's not cheating and you can still find some cool weapons through general looting.

Grab yourself a few and see how you feel about using them

Do it. Takes a long time to download the six or seven packs!

Here's the full list of redeemable shift codes. Every single one I've tried worked - and there are some that give you ten keys!

Just did some Tiny Tina missions, things got a little juddery but it was absolute chaos, stuff going off all around me, I'm sure there are more than six enemies on screen at a time like the early previews said. It feels very busy sometimes, a lot of fun.

My work commute goes too quickly when I'm playing this.

    Kadooosh - definitely worth getting.

Rodney, I'm sure I've seen sections with more than 6 enemies in the main game - I'm starting to suspect reviewers played till Sanctuary then wrote their review?

I'm beginning to think reviewers aren't playing the same game as me, yes it chugs every now and then but personally I'm used to the PC version, a version I play at maximum setttings at 1080p60 and I'm finding it perfectly playable on the vita.

If anything I'm enjoying it more on the vita firstly because now my bullets always cause the enemies to explode which is far more satisfying and secondly because when I'm at work on my break I'm playing borderlands 2 and not some shitty pay2win title that dominate the kind of "games" you get on smart phones.

Now I've seen quite a few people here comment on this, I'm finding it odd it was a big complaint in reviews when it's a positive in the eyes of everyone here? Weird.

Because it seems a lot of reviews now are so focused on the technicals and narrative, that they forget what makes us gamers tick. That in our eyes, fun, controls, and visual feedback overrules everything.

Probably just preference. Just because some of us prefer it that way doesn't mean everyone will.

Having said that, it does seem a bit nit-picky considering it's likely a compromise to help the game run well and has little to no bearing on gameplay. Doubly so, considering bodies just fade away after a short period of time on console - at least, they were on the PS3 version I played yesterday.

I like it a lot though, especially as I am focusing on ranged weapons a lot; I line up a critical headshot with my sniper rifle, the enemy explodes in a shower of giblets, and my Mechromancer shouts "NEWB!"

    :D

Case and point, Eurogamer's Wolfenstein review.

Speaking of which, it's strange they've not reviewed it yet. Going by their current slant, I'm expecting a 4/10.

I started playing this morning on the train into work. I stopped playing when the lady next to me was getting p'd off because the train had pulled into Kings Cross, stopped and I still hadn't moved. Only did about two levels.

As far as I'm concerned a game well worth buying.

Oh and on the exploding bodies: I never played the original so don't know what I am missing but as someone said a couple of pages ago it reminds me of doom so a good thing in my eyes. Maybe all the reviewers are too young to have played doom?

@Help_me To be honest I think it's a case of game reviewers being to old, they've forgotten about the fun aspect of playing games.

Summing up BL2 on the vita: Some technical hiccups but it doesn't impact the fun of the game, if you liked borderlands 1 and 2 you'll love having borderlands 2 to play wherever you go and if you have the PS3 version you can carry on your game wherever you go thanks to cross save. That is what a review of it should be because nothing more needs to be said, your playing basically the same game as you got on the consoles and PC on a device that fits in your pocket.

When you class a point blank shotgun blast gibbing an enemy to oblivion rather than their body collapsing to the floor in a repetitive scripted animation, and then bizarrely disappearing into thin air a few seconds later, as a negative.

    I imagine ;)

@Help_me Probably around the time when you start reviewing games as art or on it's technical merits rather than as the fun you had with them.

While there is a place for that kind of analysis the vast majority of people play games for fun not because they have some deeper meaning or say something profound about our society.

What is the single player game like? What do you do on it? is it a standard campaign> As tempted. What about the graphics and slowdown? All reviews mention this but i want real peoples opinions. Don't do multiplayer as i am rubbish but love single player? Worth it?
