Registered 16 years agoJesus Quad, if you are struggling with Wilhelm, then you have some serious trials ahead. I thought he was one of the easiest bosses in the game!
By far

Really? Greatly depends on your equipment and tactic, I guess. The first few times I found him very hard too. Then suddenly with the right equipment, he was very easy. I didn't have such problems with any other bosses, most of which are sadly easier than many regular enemy encounters/mini-bosses (especially disappointing BNK3R and The Warrior, which were a walk in the park). Balancing isn't this game's greatest strength.
Still, from my playthroughs I remember Wilhelm as one of the hardest bosses. (Dukino's Mom takes the crown though)

Registered 16 years agoI remember finding Bunk3r way harder on every playthrough, same with the Thresher with the beacon in the Highlands. Even Flint!

I agree about Thresher, but BNK3R was always one of the easiest for me, never had any problem with that one

The final boss of TPS's Claptrap DLC is the absolute worst of all though. I perma-quit on that bastard and moved onto NG+, because sod that. -

Oh, God. I remember that! So hard it stopped me from playing that side mission on TVHM

Registered 17 years agoSo this got patched overnight - the game can now take advantage of the extra system ram freed up by FW3.50 (you can't use other apps whilst playing the game). No idea what the actual performance improvement is like, but I can only assume it'll be positive

Oooh. Might give it a try again later. Getting sidetracked with other games but fingers crossed it improved framerates just a little bit. -

Registered 16 years agoI was just wondering last night if they'd just given up on patches, though I've never found it all that bad I'm the first place. Will have a look just now and see if I find it noticeable myself. -

This was one of only two games I have ever found unplayable due to performance, it really was awful.
(The other being Fallout 3 on PS3) -
Think I stopped playing shortly after arriving in Sanctuary. Acid test time!
Update:
Sanctuary still chugs, but outside of that it does seem a bit more fluid. Need to get back into it again.

Great that it's still being supported. The fact that it can now use the expanded memory mode - 77mb, up from 29mb - means I genuinely expect to see some improved performance beyond placebo. Not played it again yet, we shall see.
