Very sad news - Hans Rudi Giger the genius behind the design of the Alien has died after a fall at his home.

Im pretty devastated by this. Giger was, and is, a huge influence in my life.

Gutted. Would be interested to see what people had as their favourite work of his. He did so much good stuff.

Yeah bad news. Created some great artwork and inspired designs in films such as Alien 3 and Prometheus.

He was obviously referring to the Assembly Cut.

You should dude. I've been to Gruyere twice since being here, and his museum is fantastic and fucked up at the same time. He had a very bizarre and twisted mind.

The beauty of going to the castle is that you can have an awesome meringue and double cream in the cheese factory when you come out of the castle.

    RIP Giger. :(

Giger was a really great artist. Very imaginative. Sad to hear he has passed away. I've enjoyed it his work since I bought the Making of Alien book in my youth. I even had a large poster of the female severed head on my bedroom wall for years, much to the disgust of other family members. Love-ly! :D
