Leaks, leaks everywhere!

... officially announced by EA this morning, Battlefield Hardline is a collaboration between DICE and Visceral Games - the guys behind the brilliant Dead Space 1 & 2 - in which DICE are behind the helm for the multi-player whereas Visceral Games are responsible for the campaign; a campaign in which I hope is a trillion times better than the 'story' in both Battlefield 3 and 4.

Yes, we all know how things turned out with Battlefield 4 and that this is still a cross-generation effort so it is doubtless we'll see the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One being pushed to their limits just yet, but I am quietly excited by the prospects of playing cops and robbers on multi-player, especially the vehicle getaways.

Think the leaked video has been taken down so, I will post the official trailer once it has been hosted by EA themselves.

Today we find out out that Battlefield is now becoming an annual franchise. Let's hope they can pull it off if they are indeed skipping their bi-annual ways.

This game would have made a lot more sense if they set in Brazil with Battles between Favela gangs and BOPE.

I mean that shit is real out there.

My main concern is that this title relies heavily on team play.
Far too many people run and gun in BF and don't play as a unit.

Looks fun tho but probably not for me. Will proably try the beta as I assume there will be one.

@mattk84 not sure i understand - the Battlefield games have always been about working together - even if that's only on a squad level.

The fact that a lot of people are playing solo and don't work cohesively is to their own detriment.

Maybe they are going down the Modern Warfare route i.e. start off as Battlefield Hardline then for the sequel simply Hardline 2.

I'd sooner see this than another Medal of Honor game. EA want a shooter to come out every year, at least this looks a bit different than a bog standard military shooter. Let's hope it looks great at E3 next week.

Too late for the WC but maybe they could do some Olympics DLC. Protect the suitcase fill of cash on its way to the IOC rep, for example.

I reinstalled BF4 yesterday to give it a try after the network updates.

I think I lasted 1 round before realising I thought it was fucking awful anyway and uninstalled it again. I saw the footage that leaked of this and it looks exactly the bloody same.

Meh.

I'm surprised there will be much interest in this if there are still problems with BF4. They should fix that first to regain some support from BF4 players for their new game or it will flop.

They (more or less) have fixed it. Reaffirmed by the community-tested update that just got released.

It said I got in but its not showing on my origin games list(I'm on PC), seems to be a common problem. I'm sure EA will sort it out eventually.

If you log in to Battlelog and try and join a quick game it will add it to your games tab.
