Registered 5 years agoreally getting in to this love playing it. Bar the few rounds that your team end up killing each other every game feels relatively competitive.
I am currently level 16 so 4 to go until I can start playing competitive. -

One question for you lot:
is the ‘advanced’ version worth getting for £10 more than the standard one? Comes with 600 credits and some other bits. Is that good value or just the usual waste of money? -

Registered 10 years ago600 should get you an unlock for an operator, it also comes with 10 lootboxes for the new season doesn't it? Possibly all the original operators are unlocked as well, but not sure for certain. They have certainly done a great job of getting it back in the public domain this last week, so their publicity appears to be paying massive dividends. -

Registered 5 years agoI bought the advanced one too and you can use the points on charms, skins, packs or even an operator. Operators cost a fortune but they come in the end. -

Registered 7 years agoThe advanced gets you nothing except cosmetic items. Get whatever is the cheapest of the two (I have seen the advanced advertised as cheaper than the standard. -

Registered 14 years agoOh, and stay well the fuck clear of the starter edition (I know you didn't mention it, but in case anyone else is reading and wondering), it's price isn't offset by the massive increase in grinding required to unlock new things. -

Registered 10 years agoAdvanced and above editions they are unlocking all the operators, from year one at least which is a significant amount of reknown/grinding so more than worth it I think. -

Registered 11 years agoJust started playing this last night. Really good fun - although we've only been playing Terrorist Hunt. Graphics and animations are a bit shabby in places though. Can anyone who plays on PS4 tell me if turning the V-sync option off makes much difference? -

Registered 11 years agoTurning off vsync on the base ps4 will increase the fps on terrorist hunt but increases scream tear. Personally I always have it off on th as I prefer the higher fps.
On the Pro it does the same thing but fps increases to around 80 which is great but screen tear is still there. -

Registered 7 years agoSorry, i think that is a personal preference thing (tearing vs latency).
I have barely played TH, maybe 5 times, and spent hundreds of hours in multiplayer, where it has no pact (it is 60fps, not 30fps like TH).
You should make sure to do the time limited infection coop! -

But try to persevere! It really is a great game!
I never did the Terrorist Hunt coop, went straight into multiplayer, but I understand it is quite good and fun. It should also get you comfortable with the different operators and the general feel of shooting and movement in Siege.
Try to link up with others if you can and want to learn the ropes! What platform are you on? -

Registered 11 years agoIt looks up my street for sure. I havent actually bought it yet. Either ps4pro or xbox. swaying to ps4 due to 4k maybe. Saying that the boxed advanced version is only 20 pound on Amazon compared to the digital downloads -

Registered 7 years agoThere isn't any kind pro or X patch yet. Ubisoft are supposed to be adding dynamic resolution in soon, which I guess would help the pro or X. It is pretty low-res at the moment, but somehow manages to still look pretty great. -
