    @seasidebaz

Yeah it's happened a few times in this game alone.

Got to Scotland, held off because I couldn't get on with the first three. This is just more of the same. So much of it is brilliant but as soon as they put you in a room full of enemies it's just becomes a turd fest.

The Avery Decent bit is because they were blasting their way down whilst you were going through the tunnels, you both just happened to get there at the same time

Bought this last weekend as it was the only game apart from PES in my local 'game shop'. Didn't fancy it much as I prefer free roaming games. Surprisingly, I fell in love with it. The writing is sharp and very funny at times, the graphics are amazing and the gameplay is great. Switching it up between stealth and shooting every mother fucker depending on how I feel/how drunk I am.

Just got to Madagascar, trying to pace myself as i might not be able to buy anything new until the end of the month :(

The graphics and story do make up for the gameplay issues overall.

I've taken so many screenshots I've got no room left on my hard drive :)

Oh, man- the jeep stuff was excellent. Really felt I was hunting for
    traction at every rock.
I want a spin off where I go rock crawling with Sully wise cracking in the passenger seat.

Think I'm getting near the end now. Level design is brilliant almost feels like an open world and you hardly notice when it guides you apart from a few stupid bits where you can't climb a wall that would be easy to scale in real life.

This will be the first game I've completed in years.

... and now I'm back to dog turd quality gun fights again. Ugh.
Auto-aim feels really unsatisfying and I cant see what Aim-Assist is supposed to do- it doesn't seem to affect things regardless of weather the previous is on or off. Can't find a setting I like at all :(

I try to stealth rather than shoot, feels a lot more satisfying. There's only a couple of spots where it forces you to have a shootout.

The slider is for the auto aim accuracy I think. But you can't precision aim when using auto aim so it just means you end up wasting bullets

Just re-read this... how did you know about Avery's descent if you'd just got to Madagascar? Are you playing in reverse? :)

Anyway, think I'm on the last mission now. I've had my frustrations with it but I am a little sad it is coming to an end. It's been a great series overall. UC2 is one of my favourite games ever.

I think my favorite part so far was being dragged by the truck, that bit gave me 100% adrenalines

    Finished.

I've been complaining a bit on here, but those last few chapters and the epilogue were pretty darn good.

If there's one thing ND know how to do it's to tell a good yarn, and tell it in style.

The epilogue felt very TLOU, what with the teenage girl and guitar playing in the background.

Doubt I'll play through it again, but it ended the series really well. Glad I stuck with it to the end.

Oh and it's been mentioned many times, but this game is so damn sexy. So many jaw dropping moments, especially in Madagascar and onwards.

    Yup- it's a reet looker.
But other studios manage that, except Naughty Dog get the looks and it runs brilliantly. It's slick as hell rotating the camera around, regardless of scene complexity, scope etc. Their optimisation is absolutely second to none.

    Finished this now

Largely this is a brilliant game

    Positives

The setting and graphics truly exceptional

    Enjoyed the story

Liked the ending very clever and glad they didn't just go for the easy option

    Stealth I enjoyed

    Negatives

Could do with culling the flashback chapters and streamlining the campaign a bit.

    Shooting bits grated

I'm near the end too, agree with all of that. Truly cutting edge game technology, characterisation and story telling with some inexplicably old fashioned feeling gameplay, like the button mashing, the gunfights.
It's like, despite ever more refinement in most aspects, they can't abandon mechanics that they established in the first game and they are ten fucking years old now.
It simultaneously delights and frustrates me more than just about any other game this generation.

just finished Drake's Descent, loved the call-back to Crash :)

The combat isn't terrible, it's just not great, especially when compared to the rest of the game. I actually enjoy it when combat pops up. the game is well paced and there isn't too much fighting, when it appears it's usually a welcome break from the stealth and climbing. It would have jarred a lot more if there had been more encounters though.

Only up to mission 10 but this is right up there with Witcher 3 @4k. I'm quite shocked how nice it looks.

How's the co-op on this? Is it just replaying the chapters but with a player controlled companion?

Yeah, season pass was 20 quid I believe. Looks like it's turned into a bigger thing that they first planned.

30! Christ, I paid half that for the main game. Seeing as Naughty Dog's last DLC was a steeply priced 2 hour walking simulator, I'll hold off on this for a while.

The controls certainly can be incliment and occasionally foggy.

I'm guessing those who bought the season pass at launch get this free?

And that they're not eligible for the pre order bonus ?
