Registered 16 years agoYea, pretty underwhelming. However, I hate boss battles - more so when they are QTEs and my muscle memory for PS4 buttons ain't that great as I am not a regular user. Didn't really detract from my enjoyment tho. -

Registered 15 years agoI assume the recent bump is because of the £9ish US sale price? I've just picked it up too!

Registered 16 years agoNot for me, just got a PS4 and wanted to catchup with all the exclusives - so just bought preowned. Indeed it was around £10 for U4 tho. -

shame they never patched it, someone at the studio, thought "this is fine" -

Registered 7 years agoWent back to this over the weekend, was only going to put it on for 5 minutes to see what it was like in HDR. Ended up playing until Chapter 5.
It's better than I remembered, and for a game that's nearly 4 years old it looks incredible. Even now the animation it still a level above everything else, the attention to detail makes a huge difference. Can only really think of Red Dead 2 that comes close.
Was planning on playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider over Christmas but might playthrough this again. -

Registered 7 years agoIt's great, especially on an OLED. There's a few sections where you're in dark rooms and it's extremely bright outside with light bleeding in through the windows, it looks amazing. -

Yeah I think I felt it was little too long which might be why I don't remember it as fondly. Coming back to it has opened my eyes a little, there's not many games that come close to this quality. -

Registered 4 years agoIt's incredible from start to finish. On my first playthrough I thought it was too long but I played it too quickly over a couple of days. When I came back to it (4 completions now) it's a masterpiece, the sections which at first I felt were too slow were actually brilliant and added so much to the characters and at story. Love it. -

Registered 10 years agoI liked the Uncharted games but I've never understood what people are seeing when they call them 'masterpieces' - the gunplay is pretty poor, the climbing is a bit auto-pilot and the characters/dialogue are great for a video game but nothing special. I'd probably have as much fun watching it as playing it. -

Registered 7 years ago@Rhaegyr I'd largely agree if we were talking about Uncharted 1, 2 or 3. I think Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy are much much better games though, especially when it comes to the combat which I always thought was pretty poor. -

The combat in 4 and Lost Legacy is actually pretty enjoyable, I never thought I'd say that about an uncharted game. It feels very fluid and its great that you can initiate and stop combat quite dynamically through hiding. It's nice to actually tease the enemies.

Registered 7 years agoYeah definetely, there's a lot more choice in how you approach each situation and the guns have more weight to them.
In contrast I absolutely hated the combat in 3. It didn't help that I played it on hard but even so, it largely spoilt that game for me. -

Registered 8 years ago3 was absolute dogshit especially because they changed the aiming from 2 so it felt really weird. Also that level in the boat was terrible, throwing waves of shotgunners with armour and snipers at the same time. I do wonder what Naughty Dog was smoking making it thinking that was OK. -

Registered 4 years agoYeah in 4 nearly all the combat sections are sandboxes that each time you play it you can have a totally different experience and try different ways to clear the encounter. -
Not really - it's either all out guns blazing/cover shooter or stealth (until you get spotted, then it's all out guns blazing again).
Maybe I played 3 and 4 too far apart because the shooting seemed as shit as it ever was.
