@Dirtbox Looking at the record of ND and its previous games I bet this is another Pre-rendered CGI from ND.

Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think they'd use weasel words like that. Don't forget that every pre-rendered trailer ever could use that excuse.
I could capture directly from my ps3 a pixar's film.
My bet is that it's real time but they know it's such early days that they don't know for sure the game will look quite that good. I think that's the best explanation for their choice of words. -

A full 1080p / 60fps trailer directly from Naughty Dog. The details are absolutely jaw dropping. -

Registered 14 years agoI'm guessing it will be similar to tlou, where cutscenes/character models have more detail than gameplay as you don't need to/can't see every little detail when Nate is further away. -

Registered 13 years agoYeah it's 'in engine' rather than actual gameplay.
Given ND's new found emotional chops, I predict that 'A Thief's End' in fact refers to the death of Sully. -

Yeah. I'd be extremely surprised if that isn't 100% spot on.

Registered 11 years agoSome guy who made a really good fan film was lucky enough to see Uncharted 4 in action and these particular words of his are making me giddy:
'I got to see some pretty raw stuff from the new game, including drawings of planned action sequences and how all the characters look like now (with upgraded graphics). It was quite scary to see Sully as an almost living person. I also got to see a few seconds of the opening scene, which is still under development, but is already looking absolutely incredible.'
Martin goes on and compares the graphical leap as PlayStation 2 to a Pixar movie.
Naughty Dog are going to make the best looking game(s) in the industry all over again and I simply cannot wait!

Registered 7 years agoYeah, that's given me the feels a bit. Glad that ND are picking up from where they left off. Just watching that trailer again in 1080p- it's ridiculous. -

I can only imagine this game will make the PS4 sound like a jet engine. -

As soon as 4 arrives, I'm getting a PS4. I only just found out the other day a new Silent Hill is on it's way, the first decent Silent Hill since SH2. -

This sounds like it'll make PS4s melt, but it'll be worth it alright

Assuming what they learned from remastering TLoU can be applied backwards, that would be an excellent lead-in to releasing the fourth game. If it works for Halo, it could work for Uncharted.
Still waiting for the uncharted collection to be announced.
I'd be interested to play through the lot again, even if they didn't change too much outside upscaling the visuals. I might even like the third one after a few years to let the disappointment settle.

You like endless cutscenes, letterboxes presentation and gameplay being a necessary evil to their cinematic showpiece?

Each to their own and I hope to be wrong as I like the setting and visuals, but the hands-on previews have all made it sound gash.
Pity about DS, I was like you with Demon's Souls but later tried dark Souls, it finally clicked and I never looked back. They're not *that* hard (and I'm shit at games), especially if you play on-line co-op at tricky bits.
