Am I the only one who buys a whole squad of young players in the first transfer window and refuses to buy anyone more than 22 years of age? Obviously by 2018 my squad is insanely good, but the first few seasons on legendary are quite tough, with very little money after if I don't get Champions League.
I just don't want to feel alone. :[ -

Registered 19 years agoI swear sometimes this game wants me to score with almost every opportunity. Other times it doesn't seem to matter what I do, it won't go in.
Also finding my players running in to each other far too often.
I really don't know why I keep on going back to this, I find it so frustrating and often so unsatisfying. Also feels like every single UT player I play against has elements of the same team. If it's a PL side for instance it almost always features one or more of Benteke, Lukaku or Eduardo fucking Vargas. Hmm, do those three have high pace ratings by any chance?

Registered 9 years agoAs much as I generally like the game I'm getting pretty fucked off with the AI activating the super dribbling cheat. It's just ridiculous really. It's especially common when you go a goal or two up. Oh look I can't get the ball off you. Oh look you've scored a goal.
Got GTA coming next week so a good time for a FIFA break I think. -

Registered 13 years agoThis might sound dumb, but is there a way to have a regular every day 1 on 1 friendly with my friend online, without having to set up the friendly league thingy?
I just want a regular match with the chance to have overtime if needed and then Pens!
Also, I kept getting told off for my foul language on the pitch, even being kept on the Bench as I was a bad example and an embarrassment to the club!
Took me ages to figure out that the Kinect is picking up background noises and construing that as me hurling abuse at the TV!
Is there a way to turn this off? The voice commands are useful but this is a bit broken.
Also, one minor but extremely irritating bug is the fact that should I wish to play with the alternative controls, and my mate wants classic, the Xbone gets confused and switches you both to one or the other.
In order to stop this you have to go to dash and then sign player 2 in as a guest.
Bit annoying! -
Really enjoyed the demo. Borrowed it off of a mate last night, played five games....fucking hated it.
Cheap AI, plays nothing like a real game of football at all (despite trying to pass off the fact it does), riddled with issues (players colliding all the fucking time) and nobody feels any different to anybody else other than their quickness or likelihood to get a shot on target. That's it.
Most of all though, I hate the fact everyone will pass off the terrible defending and balancing issues with 'fast players shouldn't be fast' argument again. No, fast players should be fast, but NO player should be able to bomb around the pitch at full speed (whatever that 'speed is') for the whole fucking game, without really suffering any major drop in performance. If you were limited to just a few bursts of pace, and actually constant twisting and turning also knackering you out, it wouldn't be like this. Then speed merchant players could use their 'skill' and get past people when the opportunity arose without it feeling like a cheat.
Also, fuck the same players always being subbed off at exactly the same time each game.
Also, fuck the AI bug where you can run alongside a winger, and call an AI defender in front of them, and then run with them back towards their own penalty area until they reach the goal line and boot it out for a throw in because they lack the fucking intelligence to do anything else. If you try to crowd them out without doing this tactic, they'll just wriggle through the four players you have with consumate ease, even if they are Per Mertesacker, but do that trick and even Cristiano Ronaldo is fucked.

I've never enjoyed a FIFA online, unless it's against regulards / people I know. I just uses to get people quitting all the time, and racial/sexist/abusive language so gave up. -

The trouble i've had with PES since....ever actually is that even on Top Player, it's too bloody easy.
Granted the last one I loved was 5, but I would even had stuck with last years fairly poor effort had it presented any challenge.
FIFA, although still quite easy on Legendary*, put up a bit more challenge. Especially when you went down the manual root.
I will give PES a go though to see if it's upped it's game.
*apart from this year and the wankerish telepathic AI already moving to intercept passes the nano-second you press the direction. Still beatable but in the most frustrating, un-fun way possible. -

Last night I played with my feet pushing the buttons, blindfolded, suspended upside down and lowered into a tank full of piranhas. I still beat computer 83-1. Their goal was the first one I've ever conceded on any game ever. It was quite the wake up call. -
