Take those arms home, throw them in a pot, add some broth, a potato, baby, you've got a stew going.

Predator isn't just about the monster. It's a perfect combination of action, cast and one liners. Those quotes are just as important as anything and, take them out, and it's just not Predator. Include them and it's just paying homage. That handshake itself is a vital ingredient.

For this to be a success, it'd have to be that magic mix of a great over the top cast, new amazing one liners and give us something we haven't seen before. I know it's been sceptical about a film that's just been announced, but it's incredibly difficult to top a film like that. I've not seen it done yet.

The guy who was in the Predator suit from the first film was good, that Predator performance hasn't been replicated since. Although Predator 2 is brilliant, but for different reasons and not for the Predator itself.

If its a reamagining, then they can set it anywhere, with any character.
Maybe for you, but I've seen four films since that with the Predator in and they don't even come close. In fact two of those are probably two of the worst films I've ever seen.

Ahh, didn't realise he did Predator 2 also. Was great in the first film.

Deckard keeps a systematic list of any celebrity who died of AIDS.

Surely there's room for Vinny Jones in this movie. Billy?

Aye, essentially we have had five movies which fit troponski's definition and only one of them was remotely any good.

Surely with Shane Black writing the script it's going to be an attempt to recreate the old magic. Motherfucker has built his career on knockout one-liners; it's what he does for a living. If you're going to just stick another dude in another suit then why bother hiring Black? You don't need him for another creature feature.

Character and dialogue is what counts. Predator's awesomeness has very little to do with the actual monster at all. Would the film status as a classic have suffered if we had never seen the monster at all?

I'm up for this. Absolutely love predator. That alongside Aliens is probably the film/s I've viewed the most.

What's da matter Dylan. The CIA got you pushing too many pencils! :)

True. You don't really see the Predator until the very end and the movie is all kinds of awesome before then. It'd still be an awesome film if turned out they were fighting Harry Potter in his invisibility cloak at the end.

I'm not against this film being made, but such attempts often end in failure. I mean Predator 2, Predators and the AVP films each feature a new cast, a new location and a new story. What can this one do that's different to those? It's just a fifth attempt to try and capture something that was partly the right film at the right time.

I bet they don't even know Shane Blacks acts in the first Predator. That should be the first thing they make a point of.
What a clueless cunthook you are. Ever try reading their TV reviews? No you didn't.

Read a few of their outstanding Breaking Bad season 5 reviews and come back when you know you fucked up.

Guess what? Shane Black has confirmed it's a sequel.

This is even better! Bring back Arnie as Dutch!

Edit: hmmm....going off his last few films, that may be a bad idea.
