XBlaze arrived (sent from Canada to Germany to Japan), and I like how they tried to do something different with it, both visually and choice-wise. The story changes depending on what messages you read.
I'm reading none of my messages first time round to see how long it takes me to come to some horrible end. Serial killer? What serial--oh. -

Registered 18 years ago@FatSternKikwi it isn't, unless you're stretching the definition of Monster Hunter to "action game with RPG elements that has short missions and co-op play". There's much more of a story focus and you rely heavily on ranged weapons, as well as groups of enemy soldiers being more of a threat than the big enemies. It's more like Peace Walker with the short missions and varied objectives, with Lost Planet style movement. -

The boxes are all empty though as the games are kept separately in the cartridge storage boxes from eBay, to allow easy access.
Just preordered 5 titles from VGP and have Minecraft preordered too so my collection will keep growing lol.

Registered 18 years ago@FatSternKikwi As a comparison, Soul Sacrifice kind of petered out for me after about 10 hours, while I played all the way through Freedom Wars because shooting and meleeing is so fun. It feels like they refined the weapon system from God Eater (which is excellent in itself) to make it so you need to swap around quite a lot. Hopefully they'll release the demo and you can see how it handles for yourself - ten minutes with it and you'll understand how different it is. I do wish there were more "proper" 4v4 match situations in the campaign, actually - though I don't think the ally AI could really handle it. The Western version should be out with the Internet play patch, though. -

Registered 15 years agoDuke 3d and Carmageddon, the proper version of GTA1, Dungeon Keeper and Theme Hospital are all reason I never found the ps1 impressive at all. Every port of the above was gimped. I can't believe I was a PC nazi at such a young age. Luckliy ps2 gen I went back to console! haha.
Edit: I would love proper Vita ports of all except gta1 so much.

Registered 18 years agoCarma is the best. You played the new one? It's definitely the same game. Way off being finished though.
In Freedom Wars news, the patch is out. Reading the notes, they've done some stuff to counter stunlocking on explosives etc, made it so you don't have to hammer the button to drag down/cut stuff off at maximum speed as well as specifically tuning up certain missions. They've also added a couple of extra control modes (though Technical is clearly the best as it lets you shoot on R while not aiming) and reduced the cost of the thorn boosters to make them easier to equip.
Playtesting will have to wait until I'm less tired. -

Registered 11 years agoI'm thinking of selling/trading in my vita. Haven't turned it on or bought a game for it in over a year.
To be honest, I can't stand handheld gaming. Too uncomfortable. Perhaps playstation tv would be a better option.

Started to play Tits yesterday and although I haven't done much I couldntcput it down and ended up playing it for 4 hours . It is quite slow but you just can't put it down -

They've got a hell of a long way to catch up but I hope they do it, and with a translator who knows the follow ups. I'm really looking forward to Sen 2, and playing through Ao again is giving me little hints about the original Sen I didn't spot the first time round.
