I managed all my Sci;Adv series and Danganronpa games around their launches as preordered each of them ;)

Plenty if games that haven't been touched in the backlog though. And the Death Mark LE on the way from Canada for Vita... Likely be my November game though as must be nearly finished Utawarerumono Mask of Truth (50 hours in ..)

Looking for a cheap new game, I've really enjoyed the likes of hotline miami/2, Stealth inc 2, steamworld heist, xcom, edf. Is there anything obvious I am missing out on?

Note: i am NOT into anime or jrpgs etc

@2old4disshit Binding of Isaac? Lot of gameplay on that if you like it. I assume you played both EDF games.

On a different topic just realised after myDeath Mark is on the way that Aksys not only didn't include the bonus chapter Switch and PS4 get but it is paid DLC so with the region issues unbuyable for me. A bit of a dampener for me as I wasn't aware of it. Their excuse was files size but the whole thing is only about 1GB....

Finally finished Virtue's Last Reward this morning (about 25 hours all in) and have started Ratchet & Clank 2.

I love the series, but so far the game looks very brown and has some very poor checkpoint spacing...

I very nearly ditched Ratchet & Clank 2 earlier - I was completely stuck on a very annoying 'Giant Clank' fight, which must have taken me 10+ attempts.

Still, I'm passed that now and carrying on. R&C2 isn't great - it's nowhere near as bad as Jak II, but it's not a patch on R&C1.

Finished danganronpa 2 last week. Loved it! Enjoyed the story and characters.
Started 3 this weekend. Characters arent grabbing me as much as the first two so far but I'm only at the first trial so gonna keep at it for now.

DanganRonpa 2 was ace. I always found myself missing the characters from the previous game(s) when when I started the new ones, so it always too a trial or two for me to settle in to the later games. While V3 probably isn't quite as good as the first 2, it's still great.

2 came out around the time I finished 1 (which I adored) and I bought it first time it went on sale. That was in 2014? Still have never booted it up.

@richarddavies what about The Nonary Games (999/Virtue's Last Reward / Zero Time Dilemma) or Chaos;Child?

The latter is more of a pure VN like Steins;Gate.

Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight / Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight Energy
    Emerald Shores
    Super Life of Pixel
    Scintillatron 4096

and the PS+ games too, but I've played them already:

It's annoying that the PS Blog no longer includes Vita releases in their weekly post. It's just really reliant on people checking the store every week...

    :(

Nearly 4GB a piece on the worst system for affordable (and max size of only 64GB) storage... These could have done with being a last Atlus physical release for Vita. Then again , I seem to recall the max cart size may be a bit below that (Root Double was supposed to be too big for a physical as an example...). I enjoy P4 DAN but not sure about these without the (admittedly daft) story behind it.

On another not for those that care Aksys finally opened a European store so Death Mark LE is actually available in Europe (after I had imported the bugger). I have finished it (bar the impossible for me to play DLC due to region) and enjoyed it as a 'different' slant on horror. Localisation is a bit clunky but I enjoyed the game.

Decades on, Iíve finally beaten Another World! Iíd never made it past the bit just after the caves before. The remaster looks lovely on the Vita too, and the ability to pop back to the original graphics with a stab of triangle is a nice touch.

Is it worth a play for someone who'd never played the original?

It's nice they're both 15 quid cheaper compared to the PS4 versions. More reasonable prices there.

@Flying_Pig Itís definitely worth experiencing, especially if you have it from PS+. Itís pretty much unlike anything else in terms of looks, gameplay Ďfeelí and aesthetics, though is a finicky bastard and no mistake. Itís almost as binary pass/fail wise as something like Dragonís Lair at times, but at others the zippy laser gun battles feel pleasingly dynamic.

Itís obviously impossible for me to view it without nostalgia goggles, but the almost abstract super low polygon characters and the sense of tone and mystery still pulls me in...before the game gives me a repeated shoeing.

The checkpointing is better than I remember but still a bit unfriendly and the correct way to proceed often is a bit arbitrary, so if you do give it a whirl Iíd suggest plugging away until you find yourself getting frustrated by a section (this may happen VERY quickly at times), then getting walkthrough assistance.

Binned off Ratchet & Clank 2, as I reached a huge difficulty spike which I'd only be able to pass with a lot of grinding for bolts.

So I started Another World this morning. It's simple, but brutally unforgiving. I'm not a fan of the laser battles, but it's pretty fun so far...

Finished Another World. It was pretty short, but that's no bad thing. It's very unforgiving, but pretty good fun.

Hmmm. Just trying to figure out what to play next. It can't be too long and it's only really a week until Christmas, where I'll be able to unwrap the Switch I've bought.

Also wanting something pretty fun and not too challenging. I've been looking through the PS+ titles I have but they're all either really hard, long or just not that good :(

I was really hoping that something like Chasm, Timespinners or Shu would get a discount.

Been playing hotline Miami for the first time today. Really tough but so addictive!

Oh and played through 999 this week and it was great! Already played virtue so going to get zero time dilemma next.

@Flying_Pig I think if Another World was much longer itíd be at risk of outstaying its welcome. It feels just about right to me.

Finally pulled my vita out itís carry case cocoon after a couple of years to try papers please, addictive but the vita screen feels just a tad cramped. Also restarted Batman blackgate which is a nice little 2.5d metroidvania title, nothing incredible but quite addictive in its own little way
