Im off to pick a vita up locally today. £60 and it has the henkaku mod installed for homebrew and all that jazz. To be honest I've got enough in my official library to play. I mainly wanted one again for everybody's golf. I would like to play some psx games on it though.

Picked up the vita. Pretty mint condition bar a minor mark on the edge. Pube free. Guy hadnt removed his psn account so had to format and reset. Reinstalled the henkaku stuff and all is well again.

I've actually got mine at the latest firmware! :)
Mind you I have two others that have much older firmware that I could pimp.

Still love the Vita for Spelunky, Super Crate Box and Luftrausers.

I picked up another Vita from Facebook Marketplace the other day. I paid £60 for a Vita 2000 plus 4 decent boxed games. It had hardly been touched.

I'm very happy to have a back up in case anything happens to my OLED!

This is a PSM game right? Can't looks like its not on the store anymore here in the UK. Wanted to play that again but doesn't seem to be about anywhere on the Vita even with h-encore.

Is it on on the NPS browser app?
  • Deleted user 10 February 2019 16:51:37
Been redownloading some of my old launch day games. Everybody's golf, escape plan and Motorstorm RC to name a few.

Had a look on there, under the PSM option and not showing up.

Well I discovered killzone looks lovely and plays great. I also discovered the game only saves after you complete a mission which is all kinds of fucking stupid.

I'm liking KZ. Pretty fun game. Pity the vita is lacking in FPS games. Has anyone played the resistance game? I might give that a whirl.

Killzone is technically very impressive, the I though the gameplay was pretty average. Resistance doesn't look quite as nice as KZ, but it's a reasonably decent FPS

I've gone back to Ys 8. I don't have access to the Switch at the mo; really feeling the Vita again.

So I'm back rocking my Vita this week as I've been asked to leave the Switch at home to my kids can play on it...

Anyway, one issue I've got is that for almost any game which is left unplayed on my memory card for an extended period of time stops working - like the file gets corrupted. I can delete and redownload it without too much hassle, but it's pretty irritating. Anyone else have this issue?

Anyway, I've played a bit of Rogue Aces which was on PS+ a few months back and am about to start Ratchet & Clank 3

No, this has never happened to me. Do you have a different MC to test?

Very late reply, I bought them but not played them yet as they seem to be well regarded. Consensus is a very slow start through the first game but necessary for how the plot goes later on. My backlog on Vita alone is so huge they are still shrink-wrapped.

Probably not - I'll have a look. It's a 64GB card, so I'd hate to have to replace it!

@Flying_Pig Iíve picked up the vita again after an extended break and am finding it a bit flaky on whether or not my games will now boot up properly - Iím also on a 64gb card so really donít want to have to do anything major, especially as my plus has lapsed (taking with it my cloud saves, I suspect). Still, VLR is working, so all good for the time being.

@BearFishPie I've had issues with my 64gb card. Random save corruption mostly. I lost all my progress on Pixel Junk Monsters :(

At least my charging issues turned out to be a faulty cable rather than the console!

I'm starting to get the feeling my console is slowly breaking. Which sucks as I still have about 1000 hours of JRPGs to play!

I have heard people on various forums mention problems with the 64GB cards. Thankfully not had any myself so don't know if there were worse revisions (I got mine early on while I lived in Korea so not through the usual importers).

I really hope it does survive. I have many breaks of months at a time then going back to it too.

Well, it turns out I have a 16GB card in my original OLED Vita, so I think I'll swap that into my slim one and use that in the main.

The games seem to work fine if I play them pretty soon after downloading them - it's almost like they 'forget' how to work if unplayed for a while...??

    Very strange.

At this point you might as well throw CFW on it so you can use Micro SD cards instead of the now out-of-production and ridiculously overpriced proprietary cards.
