If you need more mods then I'm quite happy to give it a go.

Gamefaqs invading Iran? Now that I would like to see!

    Place: Tehran Time: Dawn

The call to prayer echoes across the city, the faithful kneel and start their ritual, above in the sky a shape appears.

"In Allah's name, what is that?!"
"It appears to be a fat Italian riding a dinosaur."
"Oh no we appear to have been pwned."

I said yesterday that I thought Whizzo and Lutz would be good mods.

I'd volunteer myself but I'm not around too much in the evenings and weekends - which seems to be the time that more moderators are needed. And I doubt I'd do much moderation. Apart from changing thread categories and typos - is that possible?

Being a mod does change the way you view a forum (i.e. you read threads you would normally ignore, you receive random abuse etc) so there are some people who have been nominated who are great people but probably wouldn't enjoy the modding experience that much (Blerk, Mike_Hunt, Angel_Treats etc) -- but I might be wrong there?

I'd be happy to help where I can, I just don't know how useful I'd be given that I'm only here 8am 'til 5pm. Having a little '[mod]' next to your name is, of course, really cool. :-)

It would be good to have one or possibly two more mods... mentat has volunteered, and I think Whizzo would be good at the job too (but I don't know if he is interested). What do you guys think?

mentat and Whizzo are fine by me!

    A good point well made.

Not really, cos there is already a thread for it ;-)

    The answer is "Yesterday".

    Cheers.

No worries I'm too wierd to become a mod, i know that, odd sense of humour and all. Plus, i'm hardly here any more & i'm not much of a gamer tbh... ;_; but still I guess 6 years of eurogamering stands for nothing in the grand scheme of things eh? :(

I notice all the muppets that I set to ignore have now disappeared from the list of ignores, presumably the accounts have been deleted?

mentat a mod? What is the world coming to?

    Easy!
    I'm starting to feel unloved.

Rauper said that would happen, but i thought i'd actually have to *do* something before it did ;)

Wow. Who would have thought one day EG would have moderators?

PS: I vote for Nemessis, Razz and Mr Sleep as moderators. Anyone else that feels unloved, just ask me and I will provide all the services you need, at a very competitive price. :p

Oh I know and I'm fairly sure I wouldn't have accepted it but it would have been pleasent to at least be mentioned in passing as a possiblity.

For instance Mal would make an excellent moderator, he's a top bloke and always seems pretty level headed. Yet he didn't get a vote. I'm happy with whose been chosen and I think that's enough mods afaic. Not a complaint against EG or who's been voted in, just it seems that the more famous EG'ers like Peej were voted for, no offence but as Peej suggested he would have beeen a pretty bad candidate.

    Two votes! \o/

    (somehow)

I think we've got enough now, two extra regulard mods should do the job nicely.

That's another reason I like this place. There are plenty of other forumites I'd be happy to see made into moderators and know that it's not going to be abused somehow, as I've seen plenty of times on other forums.
