I had two characters left at the end of my first play through, and six at the end of my second. I was amazed at the time that this was even possible in a story driven game. I'd love the devs to drop VR and mobile phone gimmicks and just make many more games like Until Dawn ![]() Edit: In saying that, Hidden Agenda (the one that utilises mobile phones) isn't out yet and the phone idea may be excellent. So I shouldn't label that as a gimmick until I've tried it. Edited by Roddy100 at 22:32:06 08-07-2017 |

A brilliant game. Loved it when it came out. David cage should really pay attention. This is how you do it. This deserves to launch its own genre. There a police game coming out that's similar so hopefully it's up to this standard. Fantastic as a psn+ title.
Anyway, did anyone else intentionally kill certain characters as they were really annoying?

Great game though. -

Registered 10 years agoGreat game, wouldn't mind playing it a second time after long enough has passed.
Agree with the guy who said this shits over Cage's games - not exactly a difficult task, though. -

Registered 9 years agoI really liked heavy rain but until dawn was a far better produced game in just about every way. The bastards need to make a sequel rather than bugger about with other stuff. -

Registered 18 years agoI enjoyed the game on my first playthrough, but did anyone else find the audio quality really bad on this, especially on the in-between sections for each chapter with Peter Stormare being the worse. The audio sounds overly compressed and in some cases distant. -

Registered 17 years agoyeah I think they must have had quite a noisy recording from the motion capture sessions, as it sounded to me like they'd had to repair it.
Either that or they were trying to replicate 80's style VHS quality. Which wouldn't surprise me. -

Registered 9 years ago@OllyJ there is some good stuff in there along with some absolute shit. It would have been really good if the story had been reigned in a bit.
Would say about a 6.5 out of 10. -

Registered 17 years agoAh sounds like standard Cage then, that Fahrenheit started off so good, and then necrophilia and Mayans and AI happened. -

Registered 10 years agoAhhh Beyond Two Souls wasn't that bad.. much
.. I enjoyed it, anyway.
Until Dawn is a different beast altogether though and, like one of the posters above, my wife and I went out of our way to kill certain characters Thumbs pressed into eyeballs for one character in particular

Me too. I played both Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls for the first time this year, after the double 'pack' had been on offer in the January psn sale. I enjoyed both of them, but Beyond was definitely my favourite of the two.

I forget names but I did kill one character with full intent in an obvious choice because I was sick of her... I think I finished with 1 survivor after that...

Registered 6 years ago@GoodForm Pretty sure it saves from wherever you are, as long as you don't quit in the middle of a scripted section. Or at least that's how I remember it -

Registered 10 years agoGot it on PS+ and finished it yesterday in one go.
- I don't like horror games, but this I didn't mind. Perhaps I should rethink categorically not playing any horror games.
- There weren't many jump scares, and there was really only one "unnecessary" jump scare (in the basement where Ashley sees a Ghost, there's a monster appearing after opening a door, all the others are "explainable" for the lack of a better word, but this one was simply out of place compared to the others)
- Facial animations and graphics are very good.
- The "hold R2 then move the stick" interactions were stupid.
- Could. They. Walk. Any. Slower. And holding L1 only sped them up by 0.1‰.
- Actors do their job well. The weakest one was probably Emily.
- Fucking psychiatrist asking me what I was scared of most, and sure enough, that shit is then used in the following hours to make me even more uneasy. Damn you Abruzzi!
- Saw the twist that Josh is behind it (well most of it) coming as soon as I came across the gutted pig. Thankfully, there was more to the whole story.
- About 85% in I thought I was doing pretty well as I didn't get anyone killed up until then, only for it to go to shit pretty quickly (lost 3). And boy is there no question anymore if a person is still alive with the deaths that I got.
- Sadly lacking nudity.
Can't wait for a sequel / 10. Would dawn again.

Registered 12 years agoClocked this a couple of days ago with only 3 alive. Absolutely loved it.
Had a quick burn again yesterday with all survivors intact.
Defo 9/10 for me - will day one buy the sequel. Downloaded this one via ps plus but now has a fan for life -
Started playing this afternoon and just switched it off after completing it, only saved 2 and was gutted to lose one right at the end!! Stupid me!!
Absolutely brilliant game, can't believe it's been sitting in my backlog for so long! -

Registered 15 years agoStarted this over the weekend and finished a playthrough last night, ending up with four survivors; Sam, Chris, Ashley and..... Emily. I really enjoyed that, it was suitably creepy in places and there was a few good jump scares. I liked that it initially drags you along with the potential of three entirely separate threats - the "psycho" (I'd sussed who it probably was quite early on so that wasn't a huge shock at the reveal), the strange man and the Wendigo's. The latter were just plain nasty!

This^^! I lost Mike right at the end by running out of the house with Sam a bit too soon, ending with him getting frazzled... I was kicking myself /o\. -
Hidden agenda is coming out next month from the devs of this. Its pretty short but also cheap and available in US store now. Its a bit less gamey with decisions being made on your phones (its more of a co-op thing). We fucked our first play through up yesterday and got just about the worst possible ending. Its a good game to play through with the Mrs though.
