It is good and you should watch it. Also the intro makes me want to play Hotline Miami. |

I read about this in an interview with Aaron Paul the other day... Seemed like a huge step down from Breaking Bad (just finished season 5 the other day - what a show!), but having actually looked into it just now it sounds kind of awesome... -

Registered 14 years agoIt's great. Not hilariously funny but constantly amusing and has an interesting story and good characters. Not super original perhaps but pulled off well.

Registered 20 years agoI just randomly found it on EZTV and came here to see if there was a thread. Got to agree with Stranded, it's a decent show, amusing but not laugh out loud funny, like say, Rick and Morty. -

I guess it's a marmite show, I loved it. Just finished the last episode. -

Registered 9 years agoI'm watching this at the moment. Writing for some episodes have been iffy at times, but overall it's good. On episode 10 now. -

Registered 14 years agoThe first episode is really quite rubbish, but give it until episode 3 and you should be hooked.
I think they just had too many characters to introduce in only twenty minutes. That and the whole concept of animal people too. -

Registered 7 years agoI watched about 3 episodes. There's something I like about it but it's not laugh out loud. It'll just about make me smirk. Don't think I'm sold on the artstyle either. -

It sounds like Port o'Brien and NMH recorded a weird song about a horse person.
I love it
Also love the credit music at the end and wish it was a real song .gif)

Registered 13 years agoFinished it yesterday, and like others have said it's not laugh out loud funny but good enough to hold my attention and enjoy the story. Plus Will Arnett's voice makes anything better so there's that too. -

Registered 9 years agoFinished it yesterday night. Man, the last episode is shit compared to the very good penultimate episode.
My thoughts on the last episode and the series overall:
- Mr Peanut Butter is a utter cunt and such a unlikeable character on the last few episodes. If he was a real person, you just want to punch the fucker in the face.
- Todd was likable, but ended up shite for being just as incredibly retarded as Peanut. Although I did laugh when they kept showing their January Halloween store that had no flooring.
- Not sure what is the purpose of the three kids in the trenchcoat? It was funny at first, but I don't see why they are still after Princess Carolyn. Unless they are hormonal kids looking for some pussy action.
- The other side characters are fine I guess
- Bojack is likable. It's a shame he didn't confess to Diane that it was him who stole the 'D' in the first place, but I guess he already accepted to let her go.
- The last episode was just rushed imo. They've could have done more episodes on Bojack's new filming role, but I guess the writers needed something to span out in the second season.
Series is overall good, it's an amusing show. Some questionable writable here and there, but I enjoyed it throughout nevertheless. 7/10

Registered 15 years agoI completely disagree with Frostpan on this one. I thought the series got stronger with every episode.
-Mr Peanutbutter never did anything to make me think he was a cunt, he was annoying but that was just his character from the start.
-Todd was dumb, again, that was his character and was consistent throughout the series
-The 3 kids pretending to be an adult were just that. -

The whole Vincent Adultman thing was one of my favourite parts of the last series. The ridiculousness of the whole thing, yet the fact only Bojack ever noticed despite how obvious the "disguise" was just amused me no end. -

The broom he has for one of his hands always makes me laugh too.
Looking forward to starting the second series tonight. -

Registered 9 years agoJust finished watching the second season. Such a great improvement from the first imo! Definitely warmed up to the main characters more to this one. And it was occasionally funny and delivered serious subjects very well. I can say people who loved the first season (I had mixed feelings on that one) will love this.
Episode 5 - The Book-beck thing was just hilarious
And the end of the episode 8 Bojack claiming Dan to be Elijah Wood was priceless. -

Registered 17 years agoI only finished the first season yesterday (actually started it a few months back, but decided to catch up to the second season this week). It wasn't consistently great, but definitely had its moments and was actually rather poignant at times. Episode 11 in particular was great.
By all accounts the second season is much better, so looking forward to it. -

Registered 13 years agoHadn't watched this until I started season 2 a few days ago because I read a good review. Just finished it and it's the best thing I've seen in so long. I love it and thought it got stronger and stronger. Will watch season 1 now but I hope there's more in future. -

Bojack's particular brand of melancholic alcoholism always gets me.
