@DUFFMAN5 Yeah such an amazing game. Cannot wait to see what they do for Horizon 2 on PS5.

Shame Eurogamer didn't give it the love it deserved in their review (it should have at least got a Recommended) but all the other amazing reviews and now amazing sales, shows how out of touch they were on this game.

I'm really surprised at how much I'm enjoying this, I knew the visuals (especially facial animation) was stunning but the story, setting and likeable main character are really enjoyable. I'm one skill point of getting tinkerer and use overrode my first tallneck, I'm def more into the stealth and override gameplay than the normal combat.
    A pleasant surprise so far.

I bought the Complete Edition and have enjoyed the setting and overall game. I did get sidetracked by other things and need to get back to it though as I played a fair way into the main game (I think) but will still be a lot left over. The enemy styling reminds me of my 80's Zoids toys I used to buy as a kid which helps too.

Its also nice to have a non 18 rated open world game that my son can play too. (As well as the obvious Breath of the Wild).

I just finished this and loved it, seem to have put 80 odd hours into it!!
So, I really need to play other stuff now but was wondering about the DLC.
    Worth it?

    Apparently Dreams is too.

I don't think I'd double dip on this, much as I loved it, but it's great that even more people will be able to check it out.

I picked this up in the latest sale and I'm already 10 hours in and having a great time.

I should've bought it sooner but I always thought it wouldn't be my thing. Something about the setting and characters had always put me off. Sometimes you just have to take a chance and be pleasantly surprised.

Same when I played it. I don't usually like these open world sandbox map type games, but it held my interest.

Story is decent and the combat is its strong point. Blowing parts off dinosaurs never gets old.

Agreed, the combat is excellent. Controversial, but... I think I'm enjoying this more than the Witcher 3.

I will definitely be getting it on pc. It should look absolutely incredible, it's one of the best looking games I've played.

    Enjoy!

I figured they belonged in the same genre. They're both huge, open world action RPGs.

This... really isn't an RPG. I mean, I guess it has a few of the trappings of one (levelling up, getting fetch quests from people), but you don't really get to choose drastically different dialogue options or make any meaningful decisions that shape the world around you.

Witcher 3 does those things, this does not. Doesn't make it a bad game or anything, but for me the games don't scratch nearly the same kind of itch.

I'll join in the love-in for this too. Bought it on release 3 years ago and gave up fairly early on due to it not gelling with me, but started it again during the lockdown, finished this week and really enjoyed it. The combat really shines once you get the different ammo types and start taking on the massive machines.

Should be able to get the platinum in the next couple of days, and will get the Frozen Wilds add on the next time it goes on sale.
