I think there's a lot of catching up to do before london catches up with the machete attacks in Rwanda a decade ago.

Scary, and not the sort of thing you'd expect to happen in Hampstead...

I've never seen a celebrity here btw, I don't think we have any in SW London... anywhere past Chelsea anyway :)

Rutty reckons Fulham is packed with them actually but since I'm never up Fulham high street (I prefer Putney!) I never bump into any of them. Not that I'd probably even recognise them if I did.

It wasn't Hampstead!! I mean it was practically Swiss Cottage darlink!!

Not much street crime up here in the hights of NW3, but several shops have been done over by gun welding bad types in the past year. Bad thing..........

On New Years Eve 4 blokes packed into the *tiny* Boots and held it up. Why Boots???? (Too small to have a lot of drugs).

Back on track though, shit! London's getting pretty scary with this and "happy slaps". If anyone approaches me with a phone pointing at me I'm running.

And I can only imagine happy slaps getting worse. I've haerd of "happy smile" where the sides of the mouth are cut to widen your mouth which is just sick and also one where the man is beheaded. I first thought this was connected to it.

    Scary.

That cutting the sides of your mouth thing has been around for years. It started on the football terraces and was called a "Chelsea Smile". Apparently they slit both sides of your mouth then kick you in the nuts. When you scream you split your mouth open wider.

The Chelsea Smile goes back a hell of a long way past football violence, as I understand it. It was a London gangster thing decades ago - for another example of it in film, see The Krays...

What in the name of Miyamoto is a Happy Slap?

Or don't, very well made piece of the film that, doesn't really show very much but shows just enough for you to get the idea, which isn't a very nice one either.

I seem to recall there is something that's been done for years very similar but using the hands.

Don't know her name but it's the one with the dark curly-ish hair, pretty cute.

See her around here all the time, in fact you may have been close to her when you where in the Fox (not that she drinks in there but she's in the area).

She was even sat in the cafe a few weeks back when i was in there having breakfast and I had the major hangover horn! She wasn't helping.

I saw guy get put through a plate glass window once.

Guy just ran across the road and shoved a guy so hard that he went right through the window, then he dragged the guy out and started punching him, middle of the day, middle of the high-street.

That'd be bad... I'm generally quite jumpy (I've nearly punched a few mates in the face who've come running up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder to say hi), and my boots have steel toecaps...
...so anyone doing that to me might get a reflexive broken leg :)
