One of these will bomb, then it'll get interesting.

If they have their own style and tone like GOTG that sets them apart from the other superhero films I'm all for it.

If they're all like the formulaic Thor/Iron Man/Avengers/Captain America films I think I'll give them a pass.

    Hopefully it's the former.

@SYS64738 They talked about 8 different things (if you cound both parts of Infinity Wars as one) and 4 of them are all new to the cinematic universe. I'd say that's a pretty good spread!

Also - where is there to go after Civil War/Infinity Gauntlet?

How do you top those stakes?

    @BinaryBob101

    Err...no. :-)

But that's as good as for me. I'm sure they'll introduce him in the film. Bound to. They MUST do.

Considering where Ultron will get his vibranium I'd say it's guaranteed

Cant wait for the Infinity War, although I suspect that the gauntlet will have to be depowered significantly for the Avengers to stand a chance.

I think that Widow and Hawkeye will stay in supporting roles for the time being, saying that, it wouldn't surprise me if one of them is killed in Avengers 2.

Hawkeye wouldn't be missed, therefore as its Whedon, expect it to be BW ;-)

Yep. Looking at that list, I honestly can't see any one of those flopping. DC (on paper) are looking the most likely to flop.

    Edit:

Still nothing on next years(?) Fantasic Four film from Fox. Doesn't really belong in this thread though.

@beastmaster My expectations are very low for that film, I hope to be proven wrong.

Anyone who is wanting these movies to flop is in the wrong thread. Looks like an incredibly solid line up. Black Panthers turning up in costume in Civil War. Its the Carol Danvers version of Captain Marvel. They have big plans for Black Widow so i dont think she's gonna die...yet.

Can't wait to see the CGI travesty they'll bring to bare with LockJaw.

In fairness, they haven't done a bad job with the Hulk, Rocket and Groot were great as well.

The problem is that the Hulk films haven't done well. They obviously aren't in a rush to try to keep that going independently, instead choosing to keep him in the Avengers lineup.

Wakanda will probably be referenced in Ultron, as an easter-egg, paving the way for Black Panther to come into Civil war properly.

Guardians 2 will help set up Captain Marvel.

Doctor Strange will be an interesting one as he'll introduce all the different parallel realities, which will be how they explain any "reboot" series they want to do :)

Smart. A few actors will hang up their boots sooner or later and fuck off Downey Jnr, you're too expensive, Marvel probably can't wait to get him off the books.

Overall nice to see some new characters getting introduced.

I wonder how Ant Man will turn out after the director change and long development.
