Has Life ever thrown a real coincidence at you that really made you say WTF!?

Here's one of mine, and I swear it's all true!

Late one night, couldn't sleep so I put a DVD in: The Ring remake with Naomi Watts.

It finished about 3:30am in the wee small hours. I find the film quite atmospheric and it usually leaves me feeling a little creeped out......anyway....

Sometime previously, I'd read in a film magazine about Easter Eggs you can find in DVD menus, so I went exploring on The Ring menu screen. Low and behold, I found one. Hidden. Which turned out to be the video that the characters watch in the movie before they get the 'phone call'. ( You know what's going to happen, don't you...).

Yep, for some reason, finding and watching this video, creeped me out more than the movie did! Then, a few seconds later......the fucking phone rang!!! At about 3:40am!

Now, at the time I was sleeping on a low sofa-bed, which was only a few inches off the floor, with the phone right next to me. To say I shat myself would be a huge understatement. I know now how I feel when I get TRULY frightened: I get sooo pissed-off angry - real apocalyptic survival-mode angry.

It turned out to be a worker in a supermarket warehouse wanting a taxi. Our phone number had one digit out from a local taxi firm, and often used to get annoying calls, but never that time in the morning.

Even so, I was still convinced I had seven days.

I'm a Hollyoaks fan and I don't care who knows it.

One year at Leeds festival my friend was taking the piss out of me and he said; "You'd jizz your pants if you met a Hollyoaks 'celeb' wouldn't you? If we walked round this corner and O.B was there you'd totally jizz"

Then we walked round the Corner and there was Darren Jeffries who played OB on Oaks, with about 6 girls.

I instantly gayed up to him and had some nice pics taken.

Unfortunately, all attempts at having him say "I bet you'd jizz yourself if Lexi Belle was around this corner" have been unsuccessful..

Once I worked in a bar in Hong Kong - this was shortly before I had a massive fight on top of a skyscraper - Anyway, I worked in this jazz bar and I was just making a Margherita when this guy says, "HEY UP *REDACTED*!" That's not my name, so imagine how surprised I was to see that it was the chip shop owner from where I used to live in Bowness!

Fuck me, that was one of life's coincidences.

Well I was once in the Tibetan Mountains on a pilgrimage to become a Ninja, anyways I went into this little old wise china mans hut to drink tea made out of ferret gonads, and in there was this lad that I once gang raped with my friends in a Chip shop in Luton when I was 9.

Once I was in Florida, in Key West in that bar where Hemingway used to hang out right, before he was dead of course in Sloppy Joe's.

Anyway, this big, beefy guy comes up to me and asks me if I want a fight. Naturally, I say yes and totally FLOOR HIM with a quarter punch.

Anyway, and this is the funny thing; someone says to me, "That was fucking Hemingway dude." He only reanimated himself when I first walked in unbeknownst to me. And I knocked him out. Fucking Zombie Hemingway.

Life's coincidences, eh?

I haven't played a computer game in about five months. The last game I played was The Last of Us, but didn't complete it as I'm a bit busy with other things. Great game though I must go back to it.

The biggest one I got I don't consider a 'coincidence' as such.

Woke up on the wrong side of bed on a schoolday. Getting ready for school in a state of deep resentment and bitterness, I told God that if he existed, he should man up and prove it. I told him that if no-one gave me a bible by midday, he was full of shit.

So I got to school and the Gideon Society were at assembly and they gave every kid in the school a copy of the new testament.
