Reviewer sounds like he's a real hoot at a party. I mean, it's a game about a bloody goose which lasts for a couple of hours. Critiquing the precision of the controls when your avatar has no arms or hands feels like not seeing the wood for the trees, but fair enough I suppose.

@Tomo Erm... maybe. But after an hour's play, I found that the lovely concept got rather lost in the reality of grinding through fairly simple puzzles, whose execution is made harder by a fussy insistence on pixel-perfect precision and annoying tank-style controls while running.

Probably a great game to watch played through by somebody who has mastered it. Much less enjoyable actually playing it yourself.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of light. A second playthrough and it's still a nice game, fairly easy going, simple enough and tbh the graphics are still pretty nice on PC.

Fifa 20 - I was going to bypass this as I have pes but my lad bought it (we game share) so I had a mooch around with some fut and the new Volta mode. Pretty good actually.

Borderlands 3 - Still chipping away with my first playthrough. Level 24 FL4K.

Wreckfest - psone destruction derby reborn with some essence of flatout. Tis such good fun.

Iím really interested in Wreckfest. Is it a hard recommend, or with caveats?

Just started Yooka-Laylee, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna abandon it very quickly. I mean, 30 minutes in and it's already boring me to death.

    Dead Cells

Thought I would give it a go as its on gamepass, didn't think I would like it as not a fan of rouge like but really liking this

    Destiny 2 free to play
The free content is quite generous, never got into destiny. may dip in and out of the game

I fucked up. Instead of buying Wreckfest, I went with Days Gone, as it was on sale. Itís a pretty fucking bad game, and I just donít know whether I can continue playing. Bad decision. I need to punch myself in the face for this one.

Sekiro is still fun, though delights in kicking my arse at each new turn. Helldivers remains my mp comfort zone.

@Zippity-zap Yeah Days Gone is probably Sony's worst exclusive this gen.

Fuck, I'd play Lair before it.

    How did you find it?

I loved Alan Wake but found this kinda irritating. But then the combat always was the weakest and most annoying part of the original for me.

I've stride starting a new Skyrim save every night this week but I get stuck with indecision at the character creation screen.

Playing Doom on my new PC. It runs like a dream and is so much more playable on M+K than with a controller, which I struggled with on standard difficulty on Xbox.

Also playing The Witcher 3. Wish I started the playthrough on PC but it still looks great on PS4 Pro. Load times after deaths are the only thing that bothers me.

I got to the final act on PC before being distracted by other things but enjoyed what I played as a bite sized version of the original game. I would agree about the combat being the weakest part but the story and atmosphere more than make up for it.

    Days Gone

Actually enjoying it, while the game is nothing new (apart from the zombie tech they had at launch) Quite like exploring the world. One thing is a bit annoying (only happened once so far) got knocked off the bike by some freakers then got attacked by a wolf. Thankfully its patched heavily since release and some new modes added

    Bloodstained ritual of the night

Got it on gamepass and really enjoying it (the voice acting is bad but expected for kickstarter game but visually its amazing) Plays well and feels like a modern castlevania game

Dark siders 3. I'm confused as I'm really enjoying it, I thought it was meant to be rubbish?

Not rubbish as much as having annoying niggles many players can't look past (I've read a lot of complaints about the combat for example)

Also, fans find it too much of a departure from the formula of the previous games apparently. A bit odd as there isn't really "one formula" but still, too different.

I've not seen anyone call it outright rubbish though.

They've made it a bit more like dark souls. The level design is amazing. You get those "oooooooh I'm here!" moments you only usually get in from software games.

@Bichii Does it pick up at all from the first boss fight?

I got that far and sailed it right into the abandoned pile.
