    @Blackmarsh63
I have actually really enjoyed my time with it but may have done too much of the early bandit/ripper camps and stuff and if anyone else plays it I'd suggest not doing too many of the side activities.
Its a weird one. I think if it were released a few years earlier or in a world with less open world games it would be far more highly regarded as I really enjoyed the combat(once I'd levelled up and opened up a few more powerful weapons), it looks great and theres a huge amount of attention to detail.
The story is fairly interesting as well, once it gets going and adds a slightly different slant on the admittedly worn out zombie genre.
Oh, and a special mention to the voice acting which is great. I mean, Naughty Dog, Rockstar great.
I certainly enjoyed it more than any Rock Star game thats come out recently and certainly as much as RD2.
It is not without its faults though

@creepiest-lizard Yes its far from perfect. I didn't overload with the side stuff so that's probably why I enjoyed it more. The Hordes are so much fun though.

I loved the first Horde encounter, it was so intense. Was it the saw mill one ?

@DUFFMAN5 The first one I came across was on a train. Wasn't the sawmill one near the end ?

You could actually do it early on it seems. Did u manage to kill them all that early in the game ?

I think so, albeit with lots of running away to regroup!

Yeah, I accidentally encountered one early on and got obliterated.
I think I over levelled myself as I breezed through the ones that you encounter as part of the story though.
There is one pretty intense one in the mine though

    The driving is shit too.
If it's about the controls, you can change the control scheme. It's stupidly hidden in the Controller settings, but setting "Driving Button Scheme" to "Vehicle Relative: Left Side" e.g. allows me to use WASD for driving/steering independent of looking/aiming.

Driving is never going to be one of the better bits of a Borderlands game, though. I was quite relieved when the first paid DLC skipped it entirely.

Yeah it's nothing to write home about, but with proper controls I think it's alright. In contrast to previous games, where you were stuck to that awful control scheme that gave you no direct control over the car and it would just drive to where you're looking.

Oh yeah, the BL3 vehicle control scheme is a huge step up. But the vehicle sections are still something to be endured between the glorious on-foot shooty bits.

Outer wilds. It's like crack. Three nights running I've planned to stop playing at around half ten and each time I come of at least two hours later than that. You always learn one more little secret each time and so I'm forever just doing one more thing like leads to one other thing.

Got a week off work and making another push to get into RDR2, which I dropped shortly after the PC launch. Doing a bit better this time - the worst of the technical/stability issues seem to have been patched and the menus even remember my settings on occasion now. They still make the PC version as hard to like as possible, though... so many pointless hold-not-press inputs.

    Witcher 3 Switch.

After starting it 4-5 times on PC and never getting any further then 20 hours or so I am determined to get it finished this time.

Working my way through The Surge 2 in NG+ so I can get to the point where you can do the expansion content. This is a fucking amazing Soulslike. If you like the genre and haven't played this, you should. It's the best since Bloodborne.

So far I知 finding Witcher 3 a lot more accessible than Witcher 2.

Only real negative being that Alchemy is still the worst part of any fantasy RPG and it feels unnecessarily prominent in this.

@simpleexplodingmaybe finding the same, though I've only used alchemy twice so far and that was when the tutorial section made me do it. Since then, I've never touched it.

Apparently it's the way to go to be strongest, but playing it on easy mode I can forget about it and just swing away.

I'm still on Yakuza 2 Kiwami, don't think I have much to go.
I have Resi 2, Spiderman and God of War lined up.
    I'm thinking RE2...

I've gone full alchemy in my current playthrough. It's pretty nuts throwing cluster bombs all over the place, doesn't feel very witcherey. But it's funny.

I just can稚. It値l probably bite me in the arse later but I can稚 break the habit of tanking and dodging my way through action RPGs.

I値l admit I am playing on easy so maybe I値l be able to ride it out. I知 more interested in the story than herb picking even before considering how few hours a day parenting leaves me.

Yeah on easy you should be able to get by with little to no alchemy. I think there were a few especially tough fights that I dabbled in it for, but otherwise I just hit things.

Invisible inc. but think I might bin it. I've done maybe six missions and it's pretty good fun but I think I'd rather be playing something else if it doesn't improve.

On easy it should all be pretty err easy but magic path is the most powerful. Once you've put a bit in that and get Griffin armour you are in beast mode.

Even on normal difficulty, I almost never bothered with alchemy and bombs. Overall the game is pretty easy as long as you can manage your Quen shield and learn how to roll out of the way.

Meh, I think it's fun. It's nice to be able to survive without having to spam Quen all the time for protection.

But yeah, you can pretty much just go with what you like, there's lots of viable options. I haven't put any points at all into combat or signs, and am doing just fine.

Witcher 3 on Switch. Holy mother of christ, it's amazing. I failed to get into it on PS4 on two attempts, but the intimacy of the Switch has sucked me right in.

Writing, character/enemy design and exploration are a cut above any RPG of this scale. Up to level 15 and I'm utterly hooked.

Switch version is fine. Resolution can be a bit blurry at times but overall extremely impressed.

Horace (free on EGS until 22/01). Really not sure. I like the story part but I kinda wish the playing part could just fuck off and not get in the way. It's not fun really.

Also, while the style is charming, honestly I've got enough of pixel art. I thought it was great in the early days, but these days if you fire up the Steam store, you're just bombarded with pixel art games. It's got really old and cliched.
