Heh, I was thinking that the other day. This over analysis of media also ruins all films for me.

I think I had Christmas sorta ruined by working at bars / restaurants for years and having to put up with Christmas music from early November to early January for hours each day.

God knows how much people who work in department stores hate it

Working in advertising really kills it. I've had Christmas strategy briefs come through in March.

I've not even seen last year's John Lewis ad, I suspect I'm probably past the statute of spoilers limitations. Doubt I'll see this one either cos I don't watch broadcast commercial telly and I don't think they run YouTube ads to target me as I'm poor.

Must be nigh on impossible to make an advert with Christmas feeling which doesn't feel even more fake than usual ads though, they probably film them in August
Last years is worth watching on YouTube. It's has a moon paedophile in it.

All I remember of last year's advert is an old man who may or may not be Letsgo, on the moon, frantically masturbating to the sight of a 7 year old earth child. I'm pretty sure that's what happens in it, iirc.

No, working in retail kills Christmas. Music and decs for months, working your arse of right up until the last minute for moany bastards who all complain about why they have to wait for stuff when they all descend at once and outnumber the staff by about 20-1. And to cap it all off we get no time off and then we have to deal with all the moany bastards that come back after to do it all again for Boxing Day sales.

That said black friday has turned into the worst day on earth over the last two years all of the above turned up to eleven.

I had a relatively good time working over Christmas when I was at GAME. It was a good laugh sometimes. Triple pay on Boxing Day too! It was only 3 christmasses mind.
Bearing in mind I'd never do it again!

I worked at McDonalds to pay my way through University. Nothing beats working 10 hours in the kitchen/store rooms (that have no windows) with the same Christmas CD on repeat, while orders for burgers are shouted at you.
  • Deleted user 15 November 2016 08:23:24
Working in order fulfilment killed Christmas for me. Working 7 days a week 10-15 hour days with the added stress of if orders don't get through the door you fuck up someones Christmas. The 5 years i worked there had me sleeping through Chirstmas and boxing day :(

Worst day had me working from 8am Monday to 4pm Tuesday... i was falling asleep at my desk by about 1pm Tuesday and ended up slamming my thumb in my missus car door on the way home.

It was the title the studio refused to use for Michael Jackson's Moonwalker.

Is that the music from some film? Anyone know which film?

Edit: I don't think it's from Enemy Mine for reference.

Not really feeling this one. I think maybe it's time for them to do something different. They're almost becoming a parody of themselves now.
