Only thread I could find on this. Playing the beta, and having great fun.. still a TF2 ripoff but with Blizzard polish. Looks like it will be console bound as well.

I'm surprised this isn't getting that much attention, played the beta and thought it was great. May pick it up on the PS4 when it gets released.

Forgive the bumpety-bump but if you get into the Overwatch beta, our MetaBomb side-project channel is just getting underway. There's just a few Hero guides live now but it'll ramp up quickly - I would really appreciate any feedback you have on these guides in particular.

Yes I walked into that one didn't I? Sorry, I don't think there are going to be beta keys as such this time around. If that changes and we do a giveaway or anything then I'll make sure we hold a few back for the forum regulars.

It is. But they will need to keep adding and expanding it quite regularly to keep me interested as I've been playing the beta since Feb and already kind of bored of everything that is going to be in the game from day one.

The lore and characterisation is stellar and really makes you wonder what the game would have been if it had stayed as a huge MMO, because as the game stands all of that hard work is kind of pushed to the background.

Basically, the game is crying out for some kind of story mode, which I hope Blizz are planning to work on over time.

It's two opposing teams fighting each other for control points or attacking/defending a target that moves through the map.

So yeah PvP only really.

Downloaded the beta when it finally went up at midnight last night, it's daft you couldn't pre-load it. Managed to get to do the training before giving up and going to bed, but it feels good and I can't wait to get into some actual matches - tough day at work today!

Feel like my Elite paddles might need switching around from the regular FPS setup I have - there seems to be nothing mapped to L3, you use your abilities a lot so I'm not sure I like needing to use the bumpers for them, and it seems like crouch and jump aren't as key as in most FPS games.

Crouch isn't, but some of the characters need jump a lot (Genji, Hanzo, Pharrah etc)

Ah ok, I could maybe just switch that out then. I normally have, from top left clockwise, reload-crouch-jump-sprint so I might do reload-ability2-jump-ability1 (which genuinely is sprint for soldier 76). Could also switch the melee to RB and ult to LB then perhaps, so you can actually aim the ult for those that need it.

Interested to pick it up, just not sure which platform for me, PS4 or PC - what are you trying it on, and if you have more than one option, does it play differently?

PC version will have more support for overall I think. Mainly for the hardcore competitive modes/seasons type stuff.

@MikeP I've found having the PC version playing so smooth and looking so good has made a big difference over the PS4 version. Plus I'd wager on the support for PC being better in the long run.

Love it so far. The heroes I've tried that I was hoping I'd like are fun and so are the others I've tried. Blizzard have excelled themselves at character design and mechanics - it's incredible how diverse and yet how fun and viable they all feel.

I don't think I'm going to bother getting Doom next week now because the MP will seem so pedestrian in comparison and I can play the SP when it's cheaper.

I'll certainly be giving it a go on the PC. Can't wait to try this for a while this evening.

If I like it as much as I expect to, I'll probably grab it on CDkeys.
