| @Tuffty finished my placements this evening, ended up placing low gold which is ok (I'm usually mid-high gold). I go through waves with this game, I'll play it loads and then not play it for weeks. |

Has anyone encountered an issue in the Overwatch menu were it continually rotates down through the menu screen? (Xbox One) It only happens in the menu and not during the game so it's not drifting off in a direction, the controller is up-to-date and I've tried a hard reset of the console.
I've just purchased the game today and have never experienced it in the other games I have.
Any ideas?

Registered 12 years agoAnyone having problems 4 stacking on this? We are on PS4 - the matches take ages to find (around 10 minutes or so). 3 stack is fine. Best to put it down to lowered fan base?
We are a bunch of gold, silver and bronze low lifes. -
Does anyone yet know how Overwatch 2 is going to work? The original is currently on sale for Xbox and I thought I had read somewhere that it would basically get a retooling when the next game comes out, and would be the base of the multiplayer, with 2 being mission driven. Is that right?
Basically, is it worth getting Overatch in the sale or is it a dead game? -

Registered 13 years agoAll of Overwatch 1 will be in Overwatch 2. However Overwatch 2 has a new multiplayer mode and it has a PvE mode, both these will exclusive to the sequel.
I still play overwatch almost everyday and both hate and love it. -

I would say go for it, personally. What is essentially happening is that even when the sequel comes out, they arent splitting the player base, so the essential updates like new characters, maps and modes will still be playable even if you dont have OW2. The selling point of OW2 is the single player content and I assume any OW2 skins which are exclusive. With that in mind, theres no downside to getting the game now, playing it and finding out whether the OW2 content is worth the price of admission. If not, well you still get to play the multiplayer. It can also be a while before OW2 comes out, they're not expecting it this year and with covid, maybe not even next year. It's also a big game, lots of maps, lots of characters with the promise of more on OW2 release. Could take a while to get the flow of it immediately once OW2 comes in whereas now you can learn over time and get familiar.

Registered 12 years agoI keep meaning to get back to this. I absolutely loved it for about a year, then just started drifting in and out. I think the last time I played it was when Moira dropped.
I am actually quite excited for 2, but I have it feeling it's a fair way away at this point. -

Your last sentence sums up my feeling about it so much. It really pisses me off so much of the time, but I can’t stop playing it. I mostly play Mystery Heroes now though.

Registered 15 years agoI do a lot of solo queuing and so my enjoyment really does depend on who you're with. Last night I was on multiple teams of rage quitters against people who were so well coordinated, they rolled right over us every time. And this was on quick play. Consistently have good times with guys from on here though, at least theres an incentive to win and not just people happy to quit as soon as it gets bad.
I have no incentive to play competitive. Even the tangible reward of a golden weapon or animated emblem means very little to me now.

Registered 10 years agoI stopped playing this as soon as they limited you to a certain 'type' of hero in casual games. Is this still the case? -

Registered 15 years agoQuick Play still 222 locked, there is QP Classic in Arcade though with the play any type of hero rules, still popular. I dip in this now and again, generally short sessions, the mechanics are just so good that I can't drop it entirely. -

Still is yeah. Queuing for a tank or support role is pretty quick to get into, but DPS queuing is an issue, typically anywhere from 5 to 10 mins. So while games are more balanced than ever, with the 2-2-2 setup, it does create long queue times for more popular characters. The dev team know it's an issue and have played with the idea of having the team be 3 DPS characters and 1 tank.

But yes as mentioned before, there is Quick Play Classic mode in the Arcade which has no restrictions. -
Thanks for the replies!
I pretty much play support/tank exclusively so the wait time wasn't an issue; we were getting penned in on certain maps (on casual) at the spawn points and it'd be nice to switch to a DPS class to at least break the deadlock.
Good to know that there's still a mode that allows you to do this.
