Seems to be gathering pace now in terms of casting.

Jared Leto eyed up as The Joker

I thought Jared Leto was notoriously selective about film roles and extremely anti anything franchisey.

What is it with actors from Spartacus and dc villains? This is like the third one!

Not that I'm complaining, as Spartacus was glorious. If they find some way to contrive a reunion in the same movie or TV episode, I will jizz in my pants right here.

I'm not seeing anything special in the cast list. Three big actors (mostly miscast) and a lot who've really done nothing of note.
Ayer is a decent director but I don't think he's done anything really memorable (haven't seen Fury yet).

What's so good about this versus Nolan's Batman films, or The Avengers. It's on par with Man of Steel, which was a mix.

I like Spartacus too - so much that I've bought it all on BD, but it's literally the high point of his career so far. Die Hard 5, Divergent... he's not a big name and his roles are a reflection.

Robbie is good in Wolf. Delevingne has done nothing. Smith is an odd choice, as is Hardy for Rick Flagg. Leto is decent and might be a great Joker but he's going to have to do a lot to replace Ledger (it's not really fair to him but that's the comparison that he's going to have to contend with).

Leto is a great choice I think - I'm excited to see what he does with the Joker. I'm guessing more 'classic' Joker which would be interesting. Robbie could also be good as Quinn, she was good in WoWS but I've not seen her in anything else.

Will Smith is a terrible choice from Deadshot. I don't really know the rest shape up compared to their comic book counterparts. I do love Tom Hardy, though.

I would've preferred it if they set the characters up in other films first, you get to know em a bit, they get caught then this comes out like an anti-avengers. Aside from the joker I dont see many people knowing/giving a fook who boomerang and deadshot are.

Still it's an interesting premise for a film I wanna see what happens with this. Jus thought as well there were rumors jesse eisenberg was goingvto be in this as lex luthor. No mention of him in the cast announcing then?

True dat. I'm still interested to see what comes of the movie. And props to leto for takin on the joker. The amount of anticipating, comparisons, expectation and criticism he's going to get about his performance as more info, trailers are released.

Hopefully half of them don't just become cannon fodder like they did in the animated film that was made a little while back.

I would like it if these characters popped up in more than one film other than guys like Joker who are sure to appear multiple times.

Yeah I'd guess if they don't have at least some cameos in any films before they'll be in dc films for awhile afterwards. Having leto as joker against affleck in a batman film I would put money on.

Aside from Joker and maybe Harley Quinn, I wouldn't really call any of the others big.

But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it flopped, or at least underperformed. Suppose there's some star power though, and I do think Leto will do an interesting Joker.
