Fair play to him. I hated Suicide Squad, but he did End of Watch and Fury, both of which I thought were decent films.

I still can't get over Leto going full on mental over the part, staying in character the whole time on set, sending cast members dead rats, bullets, used condoms and more, and he was only ever going to be in it for 5 minutes.

Can only assume he didn't read the script and thought he was the main villain.

I'm with user Decks here. I had a sneaking suspicion that a lot of the flack he we getting was being his joker looked so different to other potrayals in the past and it was frustrating the fandom's expectations.

Turns out: no. He really was shit in it.

I've still not seen the Oscar Winning™ Suicide Squad. I was sort of put off by all the stories of how muddled it is thanks to obvious studio meddling, and I wasn't a fan of the visual style they went for. But it's the Academy Award Winning™ Suicide Squad. Maybe I should watch it now.

I assume having to base a film around him was one of the reasons affleck jumped out of the hotseat.

There was nothing interesting in it. But him acting really badly while dressed as an extra in a Marilyn Manson video was a particular low point.

Imagine if old man Beatty had mixed this one up 😂😂😂😂😂 now that would have been interesting. You'd of had will smith going "oh,hell no" if they tried to take the Oscar back off him.
