Registered 16 years agoIt was kind of the old JRPG thing of the dudes going into the mission wearing tactical body armour and her wearing hot pants, a crop top and a baseball bat.
I mean, yes, the film is stupid on an almost atomic level but there is literally no reason for her to be there. -

The film is an incoherent mess without a single redeeming feature or justification to exist other than people will pay to watch shit. -

I started watching that video but nothing much happened for a few minutes and then they said "triggered" over and over so I stopped watching. I liked the one Mr Tom posted some pages ago about the bad editing.
Someone more knowledgeable than me said, depending on the timeline, Harley has super strength from a Poison Ivy potion but I don't remember that coming over in the really long character introductions at the start. That would have given her more of a reason to be picked for the squad. She would still have needed body armour though. -

Registered 16 years agoI'll guess before clicking that it's yet another horrible, mean-spirited "Everything Wrong With..." piece of awful nonsense that represents everything that's bad about the internet and says more about the people that made the video than it does the film.
Edit: Yep!

I have mentioned this previously in the thread but the fact Leto stayed in character throughout the shoot just made me hate it all even more. Ledger's Joker doesn't get a whole lot of screen time (albeit more than Leto) but as soon as he appeared, you knew it was a special performance. The best thing about Ledger's Joker was not knowing what he was going to do next and that made his performance terrifying. Leto's Joker looks and acts like the goth kid at work who just wants attention.

Registered 17 years agoWatched an interview with Mel Gibson last night on the red carpet at the Oscars. He's definiltey seriously considering doing SS2.
Apparently the execs stayed well away from Logan when it was being made. If it becomes a runaway hit, then maybe, just maybe, they'll let him do what he wants with it. If he does it. -

Registered 6 years agoShould be great. He's already been saying he's going to concentrate on making the villain the centre piece of the film this time rather than just an after thought. He was handing some flyers around with some concept art last night.

Registered 8 years agoI'm really nonplussed about this film tbh. It's definitely a film where I wasn't clamouring for a sequel. -

Registered 17 years agoI really like Gavin O'Connor. He's a solid "no frills" director. Warrior is one of my favorite films. He could potentially make this interesting to me. -

There's nothing confusing about it imo. First one made loads of money, so a sequel was pretty much guaranteed.
