I've had a skim over Wikipedia on this (as in the actual graphic novels) and I can't see how Joker is involved, at least on a "huge" basis that the build up to Leto taking the role has generated.
Question I have, again from this skim, is Joker part of th squad or a villain or something else?
Either way looking forward to it.

I seriously doubt they'll go that far with the character as they did in The Killing Joke. But I hope they do.
There's rumours aplenty about Eisenberg appearing as Lex in this. And also a certain actor dressed up as a bat. -
