I genuinely found her painful to watch/listen to because of it. I was quite embarrassed to be sat there at times. I think there was once where the audience laughed... which isn't the best hit ratio.

Oh and this is the first time that Jai Courtney has ever been good. I can't believe I'm typing that...

I enjoyed some of her backstory though. -

Registered 16 years agoNope. Marvel/Disney will continue to milk the superhero genre for all it's worth with formulaic but watchable movies until we're totally sick of them. DC will continue to make duff films, with the occasional exception. Superhero movies will die off and hopefully in 10 years we'll get a few good film again. -

Registered 6 years agoYeah I just read it's made $270,000,000 in three days worldwide. Shows the critics don't reflect the punters that much. I hope it continues to do well as I want sequel and I want Margot and Will to stay, which is more likely if it is really successful. I didn't realise Tom Hardy was Rick Flag but had to drop out, shame. -

Registered 7 years agoWell it suggests there's a big market for the type of film, it doesn't mean the critics don't reflect the punters unless you know all those people loved it. There's enough people that watch any old shit if it's marketed at them. -

Registered 6 years agoTrue that, I personally loved it. One of my favourite comic movies after guardians and dead pool (unless I'm forgetting something). -
I watched this over the weekend. I enjoyed it. Be interesting to see if there's an extended cut on Blu ray as my only gripe is that it felt heavily edited in parts. -

People will always see these big budget movies, regardless of reviews, because they're super easy films to market and make look decent.
edit: bah.

After watching it I was hoping there might be one that could sort out some of the issues I found with it. Just read an interview with ayer though and he says this cut is his proper cut but there will be a few deleted scenes on the bluray.

And yet a lot of people just want to believe Hollywood Reporter, about how troubled the production was, how brief the scripting was, how the reshoots were to fix problems, how Ayer was stressed and how there are three cuts etc etc.

Ayer stood by this thing 100%, but people would rather believe what suits their own preconceived idea of what's going on.
Could just listen to the man himself. -
Well if he says it's his cut then of course I'd be inclined to believe him. I'm not invested in this film in anyway. If i thought it was crap I'd say it. It does feel edited/cut or whatever to me. If it's not then fair enough. Just the vibe I got.
A few more gripes I had. Killer croc was a letdown, captain boomerang really doesn't do anything in this. Enchantress could of been better. But for what it is I still had a good time with it. -

Great interview about nipples, I was nearly crying. There is a linked interview to Tarzan film that shows more why they are on the nipples. -

Why are you so ready to dismiss one party but agree completely with another just because they say so?
How do you know Ayer wasn't stressed and that there weren't multiple cuts of the film? What we've heard, pretty unanimously, is that the film is edited to fuck and feels disjointed in places.None of his other movies have that issue - he's very consistent in his styles, per film.
Why is it so difficult that their may have issues with the film off the back of BvS?
Why is it that you're not believing what suits your preconceived notions? -

The more pertinent question is why are you more willing to accept gossip from "close to" the production rather than just accept, ya know, words from the man himself. -

Registered 17 years agoThe film is a clusterfuck, especially the opening half. Ayer is not that bad a filmmaker.
This happens to be a clusterfuck I really quite enjoyed. I think. -
