No more queueing at the post office!

Just got my new tax disc online. Utterly painless. Ah... what would we do without the 'net, eh?

Er... aside from 'become fitter because we walk more'.

Oh they've finally got it up and running again? I've been trying for the past week and the sites been down as have their phone lines.

So no one was able to answer my query of "how do I tax a car when all the documentation is with the car that is currently being repaired in a remote garage".

    You know,

This makes me think of one thing...

The goverment have spent a fortune on the "we know if you have a tax disc or not, we dont have to catch your car on the road, we have a DATABASE" advertising of late, and of course got the Law changed so they could do that...

Why do we need the bloody disc then? If they dont need to visualy check the car anymore, whats the point of making the discs and sending them out to everyone??

Think of the money that could be saved! Money for more cake and booze for Tony!
