    Who has them? Who doesn't?

If so, how often do you wash it?

Yep - mainly because I made such a pig's ear out of cutting the lino round the loo...;)

Curiously enough I was thinking of buying one this week. However I have never been entirely comfortable with the Hygene issue, which is a little rich considering I pissed in my sock drawer one weekend in January.
Put me down as not owning but could be swayed.

Can I also put you down for "buying some new socks"?

I prefer seeing the stains where they are and not imagining them on/in the carpet.

Update: So, er, no, I don't have one. Being a superhero I piss from inside the bed straight into the loo anyway. It gives me an extra minute's sleep.

M_H, can you add a supplemental question? 'If so how often do you wash it?'

This is one of the few forums that would be good with polls.

Imagine the possibilities if forumites could setup their own polls.

Couldn't be anything else could it.

90% of my threads start as "argument settlers" with the missus ;)

Don't have them. Just have lino floors. But then I am a major germ freak, and having anything like that around would freak me right out.

I think I need a shower just thinking about it.

surely the only reason you'd have one is if you've got a carpeted bathroom.

And what kind of savage has that?

I got a couple of mats, simply because I'm a poor aim. :/

The kind of savage that doesn't want cold feet when he gets out of the shower.

To be fair, the fact that you're so far away from the toilet would probably provide a reasonable excuse.

Not quite sure why you need *two* mats though!

My landlady, the scabby old tart. I don't expect she had the carpet cleaned before we moved in either.

The previous owners of our current house had cleaned the carpets before moving. We ripped them out anyway and there was clouds of yellow looking dust everywhere and a nice stale piss smell. Plus the floorboards were piss stained.

When I lived in a rented house with some mates a few years back, we encountered the king of all piss-related bathroom nightmares when changing the broken toilet seat . . . . . . . PISS-RUST.

The builders would have been pissing and shitting in it before the water and drainage were even attached.

Carpet in bathroom and toilet mat. Machine wash the mat weekly (More if the brother-in-law comes round and we're drinking (!)), hoover weekly too...

Toilet washed (scrubbed, detox-spray) weekly. 'Wiped' every other day.

Ahh but polls inspire such complete inanity and really really irritate me.

I recall, when I was about twelve, taking out all the old tiles from the floor around the bathroom. Bear in mind that I'd been growing up and perfecting my aim around this toilet for years and years, not just me but my brother too. They were tiles that had a wood underbase and the stink still lives with me to this day. It is one of the worst things ever.

Yeah, I've got 'em. I also manage to tick everyone off with how easily I mess the mats up: it seems like just standing on them contorts them into some kind of wreck.
