The management at work have decided that IT are no longer to have more than 1 screen. Given that about 80% of the IT people around me have 2, and given the productivity increase / ease of development gained by having 2, we are naturally pissed off.

The bastards are going to come round and take them off us at some point this month. I'm betting it'll be over the weekend, as they only sent the email out at 4.30

course you do fruity. you can never have enough screen space. that's an even more fundamental rule than moore's law.

tannerd, just view it as an excuse to do less work. you now have a perfectly valid claim for plummeting productivity

round up your colleagues, and put the increased productivity to management in a collective fashion.

Tell them your screens are broken, then get the company to get you a widescreen one.
