    I would certainly hope everyone who's now over 25, was playing games and was living in the UK back in the days of Teletext knows who this is, but anyone who doesn't fit this criteria:

    Really funny, daily updated, games stuff (and completely unrelated funny stuff) on Teletext (typing that reminds me of my dad chatting to me about shillings). It had a really anarchic/absurdist slant to the humour that really clicked with me, and I was sad when it got binned off and GameCentral replaced it because that turned into a po-faced heap of shit rather quickly.

    Two of the guys who were responsible for me developing a, quite frankly, sideways sense of humour, Mr. Biffo and Mr. Hairs are trying to start it up again.

    Anyway: Go to Digitiser 2000 , if you're in any way bothered about this. Which you really should be. Just click it once even if you're not bothered.

    Edit: Apparently I've fucked the link up, I can't for the life of me figure out how to sort it out, so just put www.digitiser2000.com in your browser like we had to in the good old days.

    Edit 2: Oh yeah, and that displays fine?! For fuck's sake :D

    It's very great. Well worth reading, especially right now as the games industry is currently at 90% twattishness, and thus is ripe for a comedic punch to the kidney.

    digitiser is the best, but i reckon you're a little harsh on gamecentral. it lost the humour but still had the most honest reviews in the business. it's currently the games section of metro online and is still the best place for reviews.

    anyway, yay for digitiser!

    @bobomb

    Yeah, maybe a little harsh, I just found I 'gave up' reading GC due to boredom after a while. Different strokes and all that.

    That picture is one of my favourite things. Getting that out there on UK telly? That deserves free drinks in every pub forever, really.

    @StarchildHypocrethes

    Maybe if we ask Biffo nicely he can use his shady teletext connections...

    Oh my stars, this is gold!

    What was the name of the music service on C4 Text? It was as good for music as Digi was for games. Both absolutely smashed Ceefax's and Sky's respective efforts.

    "planet sound", loved that also!

    i feel like teletext stuff was like a some sort of weird fanzine made for nothing yet read by millions. so much gold.

    @dan_de_la_peche know what, sorry for being a douche. Those comments always come out wrong (for a split second I thought they had disappeared again) Google search sorted it easy enough.

    It's an awesome blog and quite frankly everyone should get behind it. His review of Far Cry 4 is better than any other review of it. FACT.

    the link isn't working directly for me as it's for an https site without a valid certificate. The offending "s" is easily removed and then voila! Back to the glory of my youth, flailing about "like an ant in a bath"

    I love Mr T's help page.

    Dear Mr T,

    For the past few months I’ve been suffering from a recurring mouth ulcer, inside my left cheek. What do you think might be causing it? I recently became a vegan, so might it be some sort of vitamin deficiency?

    Yours,

    Lottie Rees (Mrs)

    MR T: "I’m afraid that I wouldn’t like to hazard a guess as to the source of your oral discomfort, Mrs Rees. Typically, a mouth ulcer is caused by damage to the lining of your mouth, although the actual cause could be anything from stress and anxiety to a viral infection. My advice is that you should see a doctor or dental hygienist.

    "Regardless of what’s behind it, I should WARN you that if you ever suffer some sort of bewildering “VEGAN MANIA” and DECIDE to strip OFF and SUDDENLY COME AT me in THE street with some SORT of sharpened implement, and START jabbing it towards MY mouth WITH THE intention of making an ULCER happen in my MOUTH, I will have NO choice but to KNOCK YOU in the throat WITH my POWERFUL elbow. Do not DOUBT me. This is NO empty threat: I will END your vegan DIET there and then.

    "Try EATING your quinoa without A pharynx, you grotesque NUMPTY."
