    Aloa boyos...

Some rather grand news in the form of a new phone from SPV which is an update on the superb 500 details below -

    - 1.3 megapixel camera
    - GPRS class 10
    - 240x320 QVGA 65k (see below) TFT colour screen
    - 64MB internal memory and Mini SD external memory
    - USB, IrDA and Bluetooth connectivity
    - Video MMS and download and playback
    - Java 2.0

    And possible features -

    - Integrated SZGA and Flash
    - 262K (not 64K display)

Sounds great to me and my old contract runs out at the end of May, with this new 550 appearing around the same time....Huzzah 'n all that :o)

The new 'joystick' looks to be an improvement, my sole criticism of my c500 is the fiddly joystick.

I don't quite get why the music playback buttons are so much larger than all the navigational buttons crammed into a tiny space above them. The specs look good, but I'm not sure how useable the phone will be with crammed in navigational buttons.

From the reading it's more a music player than a PDA. If you have a look at the Amadeus story linked to, you can see the phone is a lot bigger than the current C500, so I don't hink the nav keys will be all that crammed...

    My thinking precisely! :o)

I do agree that the media buttons look a bit strange but the rest is sounding great!
