I still don't get the cabin crew reference. :(

Ed, Kolin and Falke look like a Eurovision song contest team. See image on last page.

It's a reference to the fact that a lot of the Shadaloo characters, mainly the Dolls are dressed like airline cabin crew.
  • Deleted user 13 February 2018 16:07:11
    That's a better explanation.

FWIW, I do appreciate that Fei Long is hardly derived from the fountain of eternal creativity either.

Really appreciate all of your feedback, that's helped me make my mind up about the game.

I don't understand how EG can award it an Essential if it still locks away content the way it does.

Plenty of games with season passes get essentials these days. Tis the way of the world now.

@Rivuzu Maybe Fuzzy is just me in disguise?

Also lolling at the cabin crew comparison, I keep on getting flashbacks to Britney Spears' Toxic video with half of the characters.

@disusedgenius True. Though in SFV they have always been called 'Character Passes'. It sucks that a bunch of dlc stages and costumes are still locked away after buying those passes, but then again it's not all the extra dlc that we're technically buying with a pass.

To date SFV has never offered a 'Season Pass' for an entire year's worth of content. (Injustice 2 is similar with its wording, in that its pass is not a season pass but a 'Fighter Pack')

It's misleading but only if people assume what the SFV pass actually is.

Daigo played Tokido, reigning Evo champ, in a first to 10 this weekend, and beat him so bad Tokido cried in the post-match interview. :( Tough to watch.

I'm posting on a gaming forum, one of the biggest topics of the day is a man spitting on a 14yo girl. It's all relative.

So, if I buy the Arcade Edition preowned, I don't get the extra DLC, as it comes with a code? It will just be like the vanilla copy of SFV?

@adstomko ...And you'll battle the season pass characters in arcade mode, so they're on the disc but not usable without the code! And if you have shit internet there's something like a 15Gb update before the codes will work on the store.
So because I bought the vanilla copy on release day, but sold this copy not long after it was released, can I download the Arcade Edition free if charge? I have deleted the memory data for the game, if that makes a difference

Never really got into this but watching the pros can be good fun.

This guy played a bunch of Evo champs in a tournie this week and thrashed all of them. His Ibuki is pretty incredible to watch.

Stunfest was pretty good, for a shambling, disorganised clusterfuck of an event.

They weren't going to do English commentary for DBFZ until Tyrant and Damascus stepped up. Pillocks. Times weren't kept to schedule as well. It was real wonky.

Was going to pick this up in the sale just to piss about with the single player stuff - there's 2 different versions of it - Street Fighter V for £6.49 or Arcade Edition for £15.99. I've just read EG's review for arcade edition and they say it's a free update for the standard edition, is that right?

What Fuzzy said, it's almost horrific how much stuff is greyed out, like basic shit such as stages it just feels so grimy and is just a complete opposite to the content in Capcom's later games like Monster Hunter, Resi 7 and 2.

Anyone still playing this? Thoughts on the Championship Edition? I’ll be updating even though I haven’t played in years. Looking forward to it.

Bit late but yes I am. Looked for this thread to see if anyone wanted to play in a lobby.

I must be really bored dusting off the stick to play this...
